The Coffee Club — Restaurant in Melbourne

Very disappointed in the overall experience. When ordering the worker was very robotic wasn’t warm and welcoming - maybe needs some more experience interacting with people because it wasn’t a good start to the sit down experience. Once the meals arrived, we ordered the ‘famous eggs Benny’ X2 and one was bacon, the other spinach and halloumi with a side of mushrooms added to the meal. Toast was cold, eggs were basically cold, tomatoes straight from the fridge, and mushrooms that were added to the order was stone cold and very lifeless. They had not been cooked when the meal was made. I went back up to the counter once I realised an had two workers stare but don’t offer to help me. Thankfully, the girl that put our dishes on the table came to the rescue and got the mushrooms heated. The meals were extremely disappointing, and for the price you pay you’d expect that the food would come out heated and cooked fresh. The bacon however there was a bit of it, and it was warm so that’s a positive. Not a great experience at Coffee Club Southland this morning. I asked to swap an item on the Big Breakfast (something I’ve done at other Coffee Club locations without issue, and even at this exact store previously). Today they refused, even though the items I wanted to swap were the exact same price. I also added a side of hollandaise sauce, it came out in a paper container not even hot. Infact it was just straight out of the fridge cold. Hollandaise sauce is meant to be served warm/hot. NOT COLD!!!

Really disappointing service compared to the consistency I’ve come to expect from Coffee Club. Will not come back to southland coffee club after today's experience.

Also will add that the hot pistachio drink is meant to come with crushed pistachio pieces ontop but southland puts massive whole pistachios that sink to the bottom of drink which then become choking hazards. Disaster...

At this particular coffee club franchise be aware of the Asian girl with glasses counter staff member. Very rude & absolutely no pleasant characteristic about her customer service. If your restaurant is too busy to accomodate other customers then don’t accept or serve more customers. More than 35 mins for one club sandwich & prior to waiting this rude staff member said it won’t take long. I guess her version of “won’t take long” is around 35 mins to an hr. Simply say so how long it will take so that customers are given a choice to wait or go else where. Also it really doesn’t take much to be kind & up front honest before u accept customers money, this place seems to not care about customer service as long as u pay then u wait until they are good & ready to serve u & attend...
