Last Sunday night we went to this Subway store, it had been a 30 degree day and their air conditioner was not functioning. The two young staff members advised us that their boss had said they were "not allowed to touch the remote control". They were both sweating while preparing our food as well as preparing meat for the next day. We suggested they make a formal complaint to their boss as it is unfair for them to work in these type of conditions and unhygienic to be making food for customers under these circumstances. Tonight, (the following Sunday) we attended the same Subway to purchase dinner. Once again, after a 35+ degree day it was hotter inside the store than it was outside. A portable air conditioner had been brought in, however was severely under sized considering the size of the store. The only cool air that could be felt was when standing directly in front of the unit. The avocado had turned brown and the mozzarella cheese was melted into a pile. Read moreI can’t actually give this place less than one star but I wish I could! Just visited this subway and oh my god. The experience was ok until we got to salads, I asked for olives on the half without cheese what does he do, he grabs jalapeños and puts it on. I said no sorry just the OLIVES, he leaves the jalapeños on there and grabs the olives and puts them on the half with cheese 🤦♀️. Not to mention the whole time he’s putting on our salads he’s not wearing his mask properly and coughing!! He knows it’s still a pandemic right? Even if he doesn’t have Covid and it’s something else if your sick you can’t go work with food it starts to become a matter of hygiene! To finish off staff weren’t friendly and very slow. And now I sit in my car pulling Jalapeños out of my sub that’s been drowned in sauce when I only asked for one line! Worst experience at a subway ever. I worked at subway for a long time and I’m usually really forgiving about these things or putting the wrong salads on the sub but this is another level. Someone needs to investigate this subway honestly cause the standards...
Read moreWhere do I start. Enter the restaurant past filthy outdoor tables and an overflowing bin with rubbish all over the ground. Every table inside was filthy with food scraps and mess, chairs all over the place. One female staff member serving who got the order in front of us wrong and just picked off the bits of onion that wasn't ordered (not an issue unless you legit have allergies). Proceeded to handle the customer's money for 5 minutes while she tried to work out the change. Started our order with the same filthy gloves on the same filthy surface. Could not understand her questions and considering there were now 3 other customers behind us, she could not have possibly moved any slower.......it was such an awkward, tedious, gross process from start to finish. Food looked like my dog had a munch on it first and when asked if we could have a cloth to wipe down one of the 7 filthy tables, she just nodded and served the next customers. Bosses need to look hard at the staff productivity or putting an extra staff member on so customers don't feel like they're eating...
