No one lining this afternoon so I went for lunch. Firstly, Their price over price and the taste can be achieved by other Korean food, their food is nothing special. The 10 side dishes are just a gimmick, actually tease just fine. Today I went in at 4 o'clock. After waiting for a long time, no side dishes were served. Sides are actually served with other dishes that ordered, is this arrangement reasonable? And I was obviously the first customer to place the order, but my food was the last one to serve. We ordered a pot beef rib and cabbage pot, added on potato powder. The pod on menu was obviously in red colour, but it was white when it was served. Ask I asked, and the waiter said the pictures are for reference only. This is my face at that time -.-“ I thought it was spicy so that I then ordered it, but the food in the pot was tasting very light. Secondly, $63 for a bunch of bones and few pieces of meat, and their Chinese cabbage turned out to be dried preserved vegetables. Lastly they forgot to add potato noodles, I asked the waiter again , and he go back to the kitchen and came back for with it. But there wasn’t anyone for their mistake. -.-“
I walked past this restaurant last night and there were a long line, but there were also at least 4-5 empty tables available, so why the staff have to let people wait outside and it’s raining yesterday! What’s more? One of their staff walk out with a umbrella and his phone, toke a pic of the line, I guess he is going to post this on social media to act like their are very popular -.-“...
Read moreMade a booking to attend this restaurant after seeing the hype on social media! It’s super spacious and a fairly modern inside. Wait times still applied when you had a booking and there was a queue out the door on the weekend.
Pros: Banchan was a plenty, we received 9 plates between 4 people, free refills except for the crab ($10 per half piece) steamed egg was fluffy, full of flavour and filling fried chicken was a good serving, came with radish and coleslaw
Cons: spicy cold noodle soup was bland compared to other places, definitely needed to add a lot of mustard & vinegar for taste do not order the marinated beef and vegetables, for $25 it was really only a decent serving for one person! Very overpriced. marinated raw beef was embellished with gold paper but tasted average, priced at $38 was quite high as well.
Some drinks are priced higher than other restaurants in the city. The advantage to this place was that their soup and hotpot menu was extensive. Service is quite slow as well as no server was allocated to one area, everyone kind of floats and the waitress that took our order forgot a couple of extras. If you can get in and try, I’d potentially try their soups and stew menu, otherwise other restaurants excel at the...
Read moreWent here for dinner on Saturday night and it was average, we probably wouldn’t come back again. The soup arrived unfinished - it was warm rather than hot inside the claypot, unseasoned and had a completely raw egg with clear egg whites. The tofu pieces were all broken up as well and not the large pieces you’d expect in this dish. When we raised this issue, the waitress promptly addressed it and brought it back to the kitchen for the soup to be reheated - it tasted better afterwards but the tofu was even more broken and it didn’t have an egg anymore.
Bimbibap was okay 3/5. It had decent flavour but one small issue was that it supposed to arrive with a soup, which we had to ask them to bring as the restaurant had forgot this. When it arrived, the soup was already cold which was unimpressive after the other experiences.
Other points: There were plenty of side dishes which was nice. They had kimchi, marinated crab, raw squid, sausages, salad and fish cake. Water arrived lukewarm. Good interior and spacious restaurant, though some seating is a bit close to other patrons. There were some separated tables to the side but we sat at a big long table next to other people. The table space however was generous for 2 people and could...
