Let me tell you about this hidden gem I stumbled upon in Melbourne, ChangGo Korean BBQ. Tucked away on La Trobe Street, it's easy to miss if you're not looking closely. But behind those big wooden doors with graffiti art splashed across them, there's a whole world of delicious Korean flavors waiting. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff were fantastic. They were super friendly and helpful, especially when it came to navigating the menu. Since I couldn't resist, I dove straight for their famous 8 Flavored Pork Belly. Let me tell you, the hype is real! The meat was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, and each flavor was distinct and delicious. It was a flavor explosion in my mouth! The whole experience was pretty casual, which is exactly what I was in the mood for. The place isn't fancy, but it has a cool vibe, and the staff definitely add to that. Just be warned, like any good Korean BBQ spot, you might leave smelling a bit like grilled goodness, but hey, that's part of the charm, right? Overall, ChangGo was a fantastic find. Great food, awesome staff, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back for more soon!

If you're craving an authentic Korean BBQ experience, look no further than Chango. Nestled in the CBD, this restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey that will tantalize your taste buds. Upon entering Chango, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior is stylish yet cozy, with traditional Korean decor that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The star of the show at Chango is, of course, the BBQ. The menu features a wide variety of high-quality meats, including beef, pork, all of which are marinated to perfection. The BBQ is brought to your table, where you have the opportunity to grill it yourself, adding a fun and interactive element to your meal. The service at Chango is impeccable, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make your dining experience enjoyable. Overall, Chango is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Korean BBQ. From the delicious food to the welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant has it all. Make sure to add Chango to your list of dining destinations you won't be disappointed.

ChangGo, situated in Little La Trobe Street, has a welcoming and warm atmosphere and the service was exceptional. Their staff occasionally came to our table to cook the meat perfectly, and they were very attentive in replacing the grill pan and adjusting the temperature. Meat and side dishes were fresh and authentic, especially the wagyu beef that literally melts in your mouth. Top-tier. The portions are HUGE. We ordered the Set C combo for two, and it was more than enough. Our favourite side dishes were the kimchi soup (jjigae) and the deep-fried tteokbokki. Like we were so tempted to order more but we were so full! We highly recommend visiting just after they open for dinner, as they get super busy. Next time we visit again, we’d like to try their Palsaik (8 flavours of marinated pork belly) and Wagyu combo. ChangGo is now our go-to Korean BBQ, and we’re definitely adding this to our Melbs rotation 🫶🏼

Came here to get the vegan Korean bbq, which is $44 per person, but was enough for tao to share. It came with hot pot, faux meat patties, pumpkin, potato, mushrooms and zucchini, as well as sides. The kimchi, pickled vegetables and salad were delicious, I particularly loved the dressing on the salad. The dipping sauce for the Korean bbq was fantastic, but I couldn’t really taste the bbq sauce on the vegetables. The meat patties were great, but overall did not feel like value for money. Neither my girlfriend or I particularly loved the hot pot - it had a tomato base and wasn’t at all spicy, and lacked the richness I usually expect from a hot pot broth. We also ordered deep fried rice cakes and that was DELICIOUS and definitely the highlight of the meal. It wasn’t too crowded or noisy inside and the service was fantastic. They had plenty of wait staff who were often checking in and able to help, which...
