Sushi Sushi Ivanhoe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Until I moved to Ivanhoe and had a Handroll from Sushi Sushi. I had given up on what in my general experience with stores over many years was average at best. I only visited this store as I was hungry. That was 5 months ago. I now come by every day after work for a handroll before dinner. The owners/ staff are exemplary as is the food. Fresh. I lived in Tokyo for 5 years and didn't expect the same. What I do expect is fresh food, made professionally by people that care. Ivanhoe Plaza outlet reinstated me and my family as a customer of your franchise. My 15-year career has been heading up marketing for retail and franchise groups. I take notice of much more than the food and service naturally. I am sitting out the front of the store now eating my handrolls before heading home. I recently visited Sushi Sushi Ivanhoe and I have to say it was an incredibly disappointing experience. First off, the sushi was far from fresh, the fish tasted off, and the rolls were poorly assembled. I’ve had better sushi at much cheaper places. But what really made the experience unbearable was the customer service.

From the moment I walked in, I felt completely ignored. The staff seemed disinterested and barely acknowledged my presence, despite being the only customer. When I finally got someone's attention to place my order, it was met with an attitude like I was inconveniencing them. Rude staff, over priced, the smallest inari I've ever seen and as opposed to inari at every other Sushi Sushi in the area that costs between $1.50 and $1.90, the inari at Sushi Sushi in Ivanhoe was $2.20 and tiny tiny tiny!!! Yes I questioned the lady behind counter as to why a) the inari is so smallandb) why is it $2.20 when you can buy it for $1.50 just 5km away and its twice the size?
