The Art of Dumplings — Restaurant in Melbourne

I was very disappointed with this place. The food looked nothing like the pictures on the menu. The dumplings we ordered were much smaller, poorly made, and didn’t have nearly as much filling as shown in the photos. It felt misleading — almost like false advertising.

Not only did the presentation fall short, but the taste was also below average. The dough was too thick, and the fillings were bland and lacking freshness.

When we brought this up to the staff, they didn’t seem to care at all. No apology, no explanation — just indifference.

We went for lunch my partner and I when we saw the clean oriental interiors and the dumpling station out front and ordered the shao long bao and prawn and chive dumplings as a part of the yumcha along with stir-fried noodles and Mongolian Beef with rice for mains.

The food was absolutely fragrant, fresh and succulent. It was a meal that I would remember.

The waitress was very feedback-oriented and was also quick to respond with a smile.

Went to get some takeaway lunch with a friend a week ago, and I'm still thinking about their lemon chicken on rice. It was so generously portioned and oh, so so tasty! And I'm pretty particular about my wontons and their wontons are wrapped in the thinnest, silkiest wonton skin, and the broth that goes with it is just perfect for cold winter days My friend's picky eater toddlers also polished their beef noodle soup without fuss.
