The Bean Hub — Restaurant in Melbourne

I visited the bean hub café a few times, to be honest, the coffee is just average. It doesn't stand out compared to other cafés I've been to. However, what really shocked me was the quality of the food, which is extremely poor.

The first time, I ordered their curry with rice, and shortly after, I experienced severe stomach issues and diarrhea. Initially, I wasn’t sure if their food was the cause since it was a cooked meal, and I thought it couldn't possibly be their fault. But my suspicion grew when I visited them again and ordered a sandwich with cheese and spinach. While eating the sandwich, I noticed a foul smell coming from the spinach. When I opened it up, I was horrified to see the spinach was partially rotten. If they had toasted it long enough, I might not have noticed the spoiled greens, which is truly alarming and scary.

This experience has been unsettling, and I can not recommend this café to anyone based on the poor quality and handling...

I've been visiting the Bean Hub cafe very regularly for years. Recently, the ownership changed and I'm pleased to report the new staff are very welcoming, friendly and always have a pleasant smile. Yudi and Chris are master barista's and Hani and Elena are fantastic with the making and serving the food. It's a great team. Small coffee is still only 4.50 and the combo's are also great value at 9.90. Also, I'm so pleased the cafe opens now on Saturday and Sunday where Hani usually makes my coffee each day and its just perfect. Most other cafes are closed on the weekends. Recent changes under new management include the use of multiple cameras, mainly directed at the staff & counter area. This is just unacceptable & have a negative influence on my desire to continue many years of support of the Bean Hub. Yudi however, makes the best coffee in Melbourne, in my opinion, & if he's not there, then I'm not there. Simple. He has the nicest attitude of any young person I've ever met, always happy to please.
