What happened? Used to see so many locals having a great time dancing and sharing a great time after 10.30pm, bistro didn’t open just the bar with pool tables and djs that appear to be just be out of touch, absolutely 100% supporting to new djs but surely there has to be some sort of acknowledgement to a crowd evacuating a dance floor within 5 minutes of your choice in music. Live music had the same loop playing over 45 minutes, great voices but very depressing songs. I was so disappointed tonight to see so many patrons in the venue and the dj absolutely oblivious to reading the crowd, no one dancing and playing music that would better suited to trance dance parties. Tried to provide feedback and asked for some requests, absolutely nothing of it! Come on guys you used to be a full venue with a line outside the door on a Friday night , it would be such a shame for this place to close due to this type of business model. If I can give any advice to the DJ’s please start reading your crowds better by just looking up, engage in your crowd and adjust the music to your demographic. Success will prevail, seen this many times in my career in pubs and clubs spanning from a very young age. I won’t give up on this place and I will try again, but honestly disappointed tonight. We have always had such a great time here but not tonight, its local and used to have such a variety of fantastic music both live and the dj, not sure where all the locals are going now. Massive shout out to the security guard of 8 years of service who shared my feelings and allowed me the opportunity to provide feedback and also a big thank you the bar tenders that provided plenty of customer service and put the heaters on when cold. Espresso martini was the highlight of my night. I do hope that management and the owners take this review as a positive and constructive response to the time we attended tonight and I look forward to better experience next time. Surely there would a great drop in revenue with sort of business model if this continues. Hopefully better...

Fantastic venue, if you discount the horrible entry woman at the door. On numerous occasions, our slightly awkward friend has been refused entry to the Centch despite hardly drinking or even being sober!

Last time this happened on Friday night, I immediately asked our friends to come back from already going in, and said we’ll just go elsewhere. This was met by the Centch employee remarking “well that was easy”, indicating she knows she is in the wrong and was expecting an argument. We then stuck around while we waited for an Uber to 81 in Berwick (much nicer security staff there), and watched their large bouncer assault two young girls and the entry woman refuse multiple males (exclusively).

Not too sure if I see the point ostracising the male population of the south east as a business model, but...

I came here last night with friends and did not have the most positive experience. The staff members and venue itself were very good with plenty of space. However one of the security guards was incredibly rude and left me quite upset. He spoke to my friend and I in a condescending tone and gave us a terrible glare for no reason. We were trying to work the pool table as not enough balls came out and he was unhelpful and yelled at us. At the end of the night he was very rude telling people to leave. We weren't doing anything wrong so his attitude was completely unjustified and offensive. Really disappointing as it was my first time...
