Great fast and friendly service. The hamburger special was well presented, and tasted delicious, everyone in the group commented favorably about the burger. Great value for money. Credit to the chefs. I was dissapointed to see no mainstream beers on tap, only specialty beers. I get that some venues want to differentiate themselves with an alternative beer offering, or they are concerned about price awareness of the customer thinking they may compare by the glass price to take home prices at discount stores ti tap beer prices but seriously the mainstream beers have market share and it's a good business decision to have them on tap. I spoke to the barman who told me they did have a mainstream beer on tap, but it had another beer brand on the tap. He said we just don't promote the beer. Thank God that beer was there because if it wasn't I would have taken my lunch party elsewhere not experienced the burger or venue. I will dine herebl again.

I don't normally get into/around Cliffton Hill, but post some mountain biking (with Zip) around Yarra Bend I thought a cheeky detour to a pub worth the effort. Lovely old pub from the outside but quite a different look inside. I'm more an 'inferior' decorator so Im not the best when it comes to explaining interior design, so not sure how to explain the bar, but lets go that it was bright and cheery (the quirky yellow table/chair trim a bit different too). Seemed that there were a few locals around (always a good sign) but being a late Saturday arvo, it was easy enough to grab a table. Service was friendly and prompt - and so got my beer and ordered some food accordingly. I wasn't really hungry so went with a starter which was the Lobster Ravioli - alas, I can't rave about it, but having been to Italy many a time, I might have been spoilt with the ravioli there. I'll definitely give it another go ... and will try the more traditional pub fayre next time 😄

FRIENDLY, CASUAL QUALITY, WELL-PRICED The Clifton Hill Brewpub (also known as the Clifton Hill Hotel) is located on Queens Parade in 'village feel" Clifton Hill. Its bright and airy with separate more formal dining room, casual dining and bar areas. Staff are very friendly and the service is quick. Good range of gastro pub meals on the menu. If you are driving, parking isn't too bad at this end of the Queens Parade shopping strip. If you are using public transport, the tram runs right past on Queens Parade and the Clifton Hill train station is an easy stroll away. Very clean and modern bathroom facilities. People with mobility issues will be fine here as its all on one ground floor level and there is plenty of space between tables to negotiate a wheelchair.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, delicious beer. I got a couple of tasting paddles, and got to try all the beers they had on tap. The sours are amazing! I love the option of a tasting paddle, as it gives me the chance to try a heap of beers, without committing to one in particular. There's also a restaurant attached to the bar, and a pool table on the other side of you want to have a game or two. The bar also has a few board games to choose from if you're there with some mates. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this place, and look forward to coming back again.

I had a tasting paddle of beer. $2.50/shot glass. Admittedly, I enjoyed each of the four different brews - they were bodied, organic and unique in flavour. I would recommend the Cider and the Indian Ale for a quick drop that won't push you over the limit. As for the Sour Stout you will need an iron stomach. It is heavy! 2-3 pintsof that - you'll be smiling for nothing! and for everything else the staff have very good product knowledge and excellent customer service. (They even let us try before we buy) I'd go again you know.

Celebrated my 21st birthday here in May 2021. After initally having the party cancelled in February due to lockdown, the staff and management assisted me in reorganising, ensuring the night went as smoothly as I could have hoped. The food was delicious and the service fantastic, leaving me with nothing to be concerned about on the night other than enjoying the time with my family and friends. Everyone had a fantastic time and I couldn't have asked for a better night, would highly recommend the Clifton Hill for any function!
