The New Daily Grind Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I had a really bad experience at this cafe today. I have worked in the Newmarket area on a regular basis, before starting work I usually get a coffee and a few times have purchased coffee from this coffee shop, the staff at the time seemed pleasant and friendly. Today, I was working outside, it was a very hot sunny day so I popped into the cafe and asked if they would mind filling my water bottle, the staff were extremely rude and dismissive, saying “we sell water” and the man (who i think is the owner) was especially sarcastic, rude and dismissive. There is a much nicer cafe at the other side of the train station, with nice friendly staff, happy to provide a glass of water. As I work regularly in the area I will be going there for my coffee in future. To me customer service is everything, I will never visit this cafe again and will tell everyone I know in the area how disgraceful their manner and customer...

For a shopping centre deep fry and bai marie coffee shop and restaurant this place is very pleasant and the cooking is great! Coffees are great!! Oh they make their own sweets. Try the rocky road and chicken skewers! The chicken skewers are the best I've ever tasted! The daily grind has a wide menu from sausage kransky to salad rolls and everything in between, including a full range of sandwiches and rolls and desserts and cakes. They also make the best orange juice I've ever tasted as they have the quality juicing machine and it really makes a difference in the taste of the juice. I highly recommend the place and I have worked in a good 20 restaurants and bars and function centres...

I recommend this place. Today I stopped by for some lunch at this cafe. They have amazing menu, heaps of items. Veggie pastie is fresh, hot and served in a decent way with tomato sauce. Loved the falafel sandwich, it had fresh veggies, healthy option, stomach’s friendly appetiser. Eating falafel sandwich for first time and it is so good, delicious and delightful. Prices are very reasonable. Lady who made my food was so humble and patient. Explained me each and every item I enquired. I was fussy and she beared my words.
