Ok, I usually don’t share reviews often, but this place is insanely good! The French fries were fresh, evenly coated with chicken salt.
We ordered the creamy double chicken burger with extra cheese, DID NOT DISAPPOINT, probably the best burger place in Melbourne, and that’s from someone who travels and eats a lot.
Onions rings were HUGE, Generous portion with heavy coating, giving extra crunch, as well as having CHICKEN SALT ON THEM IS GENUIS.
Ordered soft serve cone, my kittle sister loved it.
Now the only problem was the 6 pieces crunchy chicken drumettes we got. The Outside was God like crunchy, nice coating and flavour, inside was moist, juicy and delicious! However when you get to the chicken near the bone, it’s still raw and has blood dripping on it. This happened twice, first time I didn’t mind since the place was still opening at the time, but 2nd time the same thing happened again, both of the time was served and cooked by the lady with orange hair. The next day I got a bit sick, but it was minor so it’s alright.
Just letting you guys know. However this will not stop my visit to this place. My entire family love this place, great flavours, variety and great pricing. Aside from the raw chicken drumette problem (would give 5 stars if this gets fixed) HIGHLY recommend this place to ANYONE who...
Read moreThe atmosphere itself was nice; not too fancy, not too run down. However, the chairs were very uncomfortable to sit on. No cushions whatsoever. To eat, I started with some onion rings which were quite delicious. Though if you have stomach troubles with some frying batters then you may want to skip these, or at least not eat a whole serving. Then I had the Bacon burger for a main and let me put it this way, it's the second worst burger I've eaten. After McDonald's. For 13.99. And to top that all off, my burger was partially pink on the inside. Now this isn't a health risk. Not at all. But when your restaurant's name is "Smashbite", I kind of expect the burger to be smashed. I guess some people may consider this thickness smashed but if the burger is any kind of pink in the middle then it clearly wasn't smashed right. At least the service is kind and the prices are cheap. Especially given the competition in the area. Not trying to be a negative Nancy cause I feel like this joint's got potential....
Read moreA quiet but actually good burger joint right next to Newmarket station.
Got the peanut butter burger which is interesting but actually really good. The Burgers have a good smash, buns are soft and the toppings are good. Pricing for the Burgers are okay and isn't overpriced however the combo do seem to be a bit expensive. Small combo is $7 and large is $9 but atleast for the large you do get alot of fries for large so can buy a large and share.
The only issue I could see is the milkshake syrup look absolutely filthy. Please clean those up or replace them as it is a bad look so you may want to avoid that.
The owner / main chef there is very friendly and takes time to answer any questions so that was a big plus.
They also have a all you can eat option for $35 which seems like a good deal as you get a fair number of items.
Would come back and if you're in the area go try this but...
