We ordered food from this place via Menulog but I've come here specifically to warn anyone who might be interested in coming here. The high score they're getting on Google is absolutely not representative of what they deserve.
We ordered two of the lamb shank Mandi with an additional 2 half chicken.
Firstly, the rice. It lacked any flavour and was firm like it was from a previous night preparation. The rice also had a slight stale water smell that you get from rice that had been sitting in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
To the lamb shanks. There was zero use of salt or any seasonings whatsoever. They advertise that it's "fall off the bone" tender however they've accomplished this by just broiling the shanks to the point where the meat is gelatinous. The overwhelming taste of overcooked lamb with zero seasonings was unacceptable and should never have been served.
The chicken halfs were also were only broiled with zero seasonings and were just coloured yellow from the little amount of tumeric they used.
The provided salads were essentially 8 leaves from an ALDI bag with a single slice of cucumber and drizzle with canola or vegetable oil. No real attempt was made to dry it off, but at least I know they washed it.
Whoever's running this place has no place in the kitchen at all and the food was so bad my dogs wouldn't eat it.
Avoid this place...

The house of mandi is a restaurant that offers a variety of dishes, but the most popular one is the Mandi. The Mandi is a traditional Yemeni dish that consists of rice, meat, and spices. The meat is cooked in a special oven that makes it tender and juicy. The rice is flavored with saffron, cardamom, and other herbs. The dish is served with a spicy tomato sauce and a yogurt sauce. The house of mandi also has other options, such as salads, soups, and desserts. The service is friendly and attentive, and the portions are generous. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant is not very appealing. The decor is plain and outdated, and the lighting is dim. The restaurant could use some renovation and improvement to create a more inviting and cozy ambiance. Note: Finding a parking spot at the restaurant can be challenging for several reasons. First, the restaurant is located in a busy area with limited street parking. Second, the restaurant does not have...
Read moreThis place is unhygienic & highly overrated on google reviews. Good for nothing. Ambience is really bad with smelly toilets & hand washing areas really filthy. Food tasted bad with highly salted pickle like meats, nothing tasted fresh from the kitchen. We dined at 2pm as first customers, just after the cafe opened. There were all leftover uncleaned water jugs & glasses. They didn’t even bothered to clean it, but filled water into old dirty jugs & served. Not good to dine with kids. Pathetic customer service. Food was thrown on the table, and no one came to check on us. Didn’t serve the complimentary tea. We driven so far to taste the Mandi, as seen good reviews. But it was really a waste of time & money. Last time, when we visited there, they haven’t opened. So, don’t trust them on the timings...
