The Servery — Restaurant in Melbourne

I ordered a large garlic prawn and calamari pizza. When my order was delivered at 8pm, the pizza was smashed and soggy. I called up the restaurant and complained immediately. The attending person agreed to send a replacement pizza immediately and asked me to dispose the pizza. I waited till 9pm but did not receive the pizza. I called them again and a really rude and unprofessional staff answered the phone. He said he was looking into it and told me I had to pay additional $32.00 for a new pizza. After speaking with other staff members within the restaurant, they informed me that I would get the pizza shortly and also refund the money back. After waiting till 9:45pm, I called the restaurant again. I was extremely hungry and did not have my dinner as I had disposed off the pizza. A person who called himself Jack, said they had decided not to send my order since it was too far and they dint want to pay the driver $16.00 an hour just to deliver my pizza.

I was utterly disappointed with the way he spoke and also informed him that my friend, who has acidity problems, needs to eat some food before he takes his medication and if he did not eat, he would fall sick. This, so called, Jack person, didn't bother, hung up the phone, and never answered my...

The best Breakfast Burger hands down - plenty of spinach and bacon and the egg was still gooey, served in a soft milk bun! Literally haven't found better in Melbourne, so highly recommend.

The chilli scramble was really tasty when I got it the first time, but when we came back a second time it was a bit bland - may have been an off-day for the cook but still disappointing.

The deluxe eggs Benny are great - great rosti and the bacon was thick cut and nicely crispy, with a creamy bernaise sauce and perfect poached eggs

The VB (vegetarian brekky) comes on a very generously portioned sweet potato rosti with a fantastically crunchy exterior and is loaded with smashed avo, pickled beetroot, and more. Even as a lover of bacon and all things greasy, I have to say this was a delicious and hearty meal as it was!

Overall really great food and coffee and friendly service - just note the outdoors area gets no sun in the morning so rug up if it's not...

We had 4 take away pizzas. Unfortunately they were some of the more average pizzas we have had for some time. The base was doughy and undercooked with a pattern on the underside (machine rolled or made off site - not sure). The cheese was overloaded (too much) and the Capricciosa anchovies were way too fishy and salty (and normally I really like anchovies). The experience was disappointing given 3 years ago or so we ate at The Servery when it first opened and the pizza was great with more authentic base and better quality toppings. Significant turn around since then (for the pizzas for the worse). Maybe my expectations were too high as it still is reasonable compared to options...
