Tokui Sushi — Restaurant in Melbourne

2025: The Assorted Pack had a price hike and is now $8. Still the best value in the city, and I've now taken a liking to the sweet egg. 2024: My go-to is now the $7 sushi/nigiri pack, which consists of 2 cut salmon & avocado pieces, 4 nigiri and another mixed piece. The best value sushi in town. 2022: You can't beat $2.50 for a Salmon Avocado Roll, given Sushi Hub is now $4.20. Tokui for the win. 2009-2018: My favourite sushi bar in the city and soon to be yours too. Tokui's definitely deserving of it's high rating, with swift service and $2 a roll? Just bananas! Generous bits of salmon, avocado and various other fillings, wins my vote.

Don't change and I'll keep coming.

Update: Now $2.50 a roll but they take eftpos for orders over $5. Still good value and same taste. One downside is they don't allow rolls to be cut anymore. I think because it just takes too much time especially when it is busy. :(

I've been a customer here for maybe for nearly 10 years now. This is my go-to sushi place if I want something cheap, quick and tasty. The staff are good at their job, quick and friendly. The price is real great and it's yummy. I always recommend this to friends if they want something quick, cheap and tasty. I really hope this store will always be around :). There's a line during peak hours, so be prepared to wait a little...

Tokui Sushi is a great little place near Melbourne Central Station. If you're ever feeling peckish for a snack or you'd like a filling lunch without breaking the bank (The poor unviersity student bank that is) then this is the place to go. Each sushi roll is only $2, that's right, only $2. In a world where sushi rolls are now costing upwards of $3.50, this is the place to go.

They have a pretty solid staple selection but nothing super fancy. You've got the classics like egg, fried chicken, tuna, spicy tuna, california, avacado, salmon, smoked salmon and prawn. It's right next to a 7-Eleven too so a few sushi rolls + a slurpy and you're sitting...
