Twin's Daddy AYCE Korean Charcoal BBQ: Review
Twin's Daddy AYCE Korean Charcoal BBQ offers a mixed dining experience with a few standout features and some unexpected quirks.
Service: The staff at Twin's Daddy were a highlight of the visit, being both helpful and understanding. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist contributed positively to the overall experience.
Pricing: One of the restaurant's strong points is its affordability. The pricing is very reasonable, making it an appealing option for those looking to enjoy an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ without spending too much. The value for money is solid, and this aspect of the restaurant is likely to attract budget-conscious diners.
Frying Pan Charge: A surprising and somewhat unusual aspect of the experience was the $2 charge to change the frying pan. This isn't common practice at most Korean BBQ restaurants, where pan changes are typically included in the price. While the fee is relatively small, it might feel a bit unnecessary, especially for those who frequent other Korean BBQ spots.
Food Quality: The quality of the meat was a bit disappointing, as it arrived at the table still half-frozen and stuck together. This affected the grilling experience and could be improved for a better overall meal. Ensuring that the meat is properly thawed and separated before serving would enhance the dining experience.
Overall: Twin's Daddy AYCE Korean Charcoal BBQ provides good value, but with some quirks that might not appeal to everyone. The friendly staff and attractive pricing are definite positives, but the additional charge for changing the frying pan and the frozen meat are areas that could use improvement. If you're looking for a budget-friendly Korean BBQ and are okay with some minor inconveniences, it might still be...
Read moreThis was our 2nd visit these school hols and just wow what a different experience 2nd time around. When an owner takes on board constructive feedback & immediately implements change, you know they are passionate & it really lifted the whole dining experience
Our group - a table of teen boys, and 2 parents on a seperate table were booked for the 6pm $29 all you can eat bbq (excl. drinks) with Fri/Sat night yumcha trolley style service - the options were trolleyed throughout restaurant & offered to you during the 1.5hr session and you took what tickled your taste buds.
Tables were notified last order timings and everyone aware to respectfully not over order, avoiding a surcharge
Adults could upgrade to $65 unlimited alcohol package, only we were responsible drivers
Michael has informative tasting menus available for those similar to me who just can’t do the screen code order system and thank you! So easy to follow and order. Greatly appreciated
You can’t really go wrong when you mention the words “all you can eat” and “Korean bbq” and that is exactly how it panned out
Most popular dishes Anything Beef & Pork Beef bulgogi & beef Roll Soy chicken Egg Creamed corn
The KFC chicken & chips served were always going to be a hit and they were hot and crispy starters
Spicy marinated squid and prawns with shells were the seafood option
The kids absolutely loved Michael’s energy & passion. The place was packed and service service service
The boys loved it and that’s what mattered whilst school holidays!
Note:- Highly recommend for sports clubs and groups of 8-12 as everyone loved cooking their own food on the Korean coal Bbq’s and the choose your own condiments / sides selection
Will be back again & again
thanks...
Read moreYou'll find many Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants but not many Korean restaurants. By Korea is one of the few Korean restaurants along Victoria st; We really wanted to try this restaurant last week but everyone was craving of Vietnamese food therefore we shifted to this week. For me, this would be my second experience to try By Korea from different branch.
The vibe and atmosphere felt little bit gloomy, I reckoned they need to make it brighter. Personally, it would increase my appetite if I eat in brighter place. The customer staff was good.
We ordered: -Spicy Crispy Chicken (lunch deal) for $10.00. The spicy crispy chicken came with salad and kimchi on the side. For this value the portion was very generous and freshly cooked. The chicken was well cooked; It was crispy, crunchy outside and tender inside. It was drizzled with the homemade spicy sauce which made the taste much better.
Beef bulgogi chilli for $10.00. The taste was very consistent as what we tried in another branch in CBD. But this time the proportion of the meat and onions cooked were equal. The beef bulgogi was well cooked and seasoned. The beef was tender and juicy the moment you bite and the overall taste was great.
Overall, we had a great food from By Korea especially the lunch deal.
