I recently had a terrible experience at Vinni's Rasoi, an Indian restaurant that I had high hopes for based on its online reviews, but it turned out to be a disaster that I feel compelled to share. I decided to order food through DoorDash because I was craving some authentic Indian cuisine, and the menu looked enticing, featuring a variety of dishes promising rich flavors and spices typical of Indian cooking. I settled on butter chicken, garlic naan, and a side of vegetable biryani, and while the delivery was relatively quick, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment as soon as I took my first bite. The butter chicken was overly sweet and lacked the depth of flavor I expected, tasting more like a generic curry sauce than the rich, creamy dish I had anticipated; the garlic naan was undercooked and chewy, making it difficult to enjoy, and I was hoping that the vegetable biryani would redeem the meal, but it was bland and lacked the aromatic spices that make biryani so special. Overall, the food was far from what I had hoped for, but I was willing to overlook the taste issues at that point. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse later that evening; about two hours after I finished my meal, I began to feel unwell, starting with a slight stomach ache that I initially brushed off as a result of eating too much, but within the next hour, the discomfort escalated into severe cramps, and I quickly realized that something was very wrong. Before I knew it, I was running to the bathroom, and it became clear that I was experiencing a case of food poisoning, which was not just a minor inconvenience but a full-blown nightmare that left me weak and dehydrated as I spent the rest of the night in and out of the bathroom dealing with intense diarrhea and nausea, making me regret my decision to eat at...
Read moreVery highly recommend this restaurant. I went to this place after seeing ratings and reviews. I agree with them. They deserve 5/5. Ambiance though looks simple, its bright colours, pleasant and positive vibes replicating a 5 star restaurant. Served papad and chutney as complementary even before I order, another point to glorify their efforts and attempts. Menu had similar items of any Indian restaurant but the presentation of menu is well organised. Customer service is must be acclaimed, girls where polite, respectful, friendly and sincere at job. Girl patiently removed extra culinary on my table and served my order. Restaurant was very busy on Friday evening with dine in and online orders. Order served was quick and delicious. Food served is hot, freshly made and appetising. Gobi Manchurian perfect cooked, big crispy, saucy pieces with no extra color. Fried alongside lots of veggies. Tandoori roti and plain naan cooked so well, not even single was burnt. Yummy and mouth watering food. Stomach filling, eye feasting. Prices are very reasonable for the food and service. Restaurant is very clean, hygienic and tidy. Restrooms as well. Just felt...
Read moreFound on a whim during a too-long evening drive, Vinnie’s Kitchen is the kind of place that reminds you why unplanned meals hit different.
We kicked things off with house sodas — icy, citrusy, and exactly what you want before a spice-heavy spread. The chicken tikka came out on a sizzling plate, smoky and tender with that charred edge done just right. Chicken momos were soft and peppery, paired beautifully with a chilli sauce that actually delivers. Dahi puri? A crunchy, creamy, tangy burst of joy — no notes.
But the real magic is in the mains. The handi biryani arrives steaming, layered, and soul-deep — the kind of dish that makes you pause between bites. The paneer do pyaaza is bold and buttery, with that onion-tomato base North Indian kitchens do best.
And the garlic naan? Big, blistered, buttery perfection — you’ll want extra just to mop...
