Seems like the type of staff that spit on your food if you give an attitude back.
Unfortunately, most of time I visit here there’s staff that are working with the most poorest attitude. I always assumed maybe they’ve just had a bad day but seriously I come in with a positive attitude, manners, and smile to see if they could be any different and unfortunately not. The good food and coffee don’t out weigh the rude attitude the staff have in my opinion. I’ve witnessed them talk amongst each other about a customer when she’s just walked out whilst the other customers like myself witnessing them giggle/roll their eyes. Even when I ask for add ons like extra butter they manage to still give an attitude like “yup…”.
Ordering and waiting for food is dreadful every time I go, walking out with my food is such a relief which it shouldn’t be.
But in the light of things I think they hired a new staff member because she was nice and it was such a shock to be treated nicely for once. I could actually order what I wanted rather then the other staff member that would tell me to tap my card when I haven’t even finished saying my order.
they need to change their attitude, because it sucks! And hopefully I don’t get a reply back from the owner telling the public to disregard my comment and reassuring them that staff are lovely.
This was my experience every single time I went in by myself or...
Read moreThis place is gem of a cafe located conveniently right near the Frankston train station. There are a number of things to rave about so I'll do it in no particular order.
The cafe itself is well laid out and comfortable. You'll never feel over crowded despite how busy it usually is.
The coffee here is excellent and the beans provide a full bodied flavour that the baristas orchestrate to be a deeply satisfying drink. The owners and the baristas clearly care about the coffee they serve and it tastes like it.
The food is excellent. There's a great variety of breakfast items and a tasty jaffle menu. In particular you should check out the Goodness Bowl which is fairly unique.
The service here is great. If you need anything extra taken care of (my daughter requested a banana smoothie) and they readily took care of it without any question. It's very clear the second you walk in that the staff here care about providing a good experience, and will do anything reasonable.
All in all I highly recommend...
Read moreUpdate jun25 I slinked back here after my closer option closed, pleasantly surprised to find improvement. Coffee is great (ask for strong) and the toasty Ruben is excellent. It's a bit of a walk from work but it's good exercise 🤣. Update feb20 came back today for a coffee, asked for stronger and got exactly what I like. Got a lox and cream cheese bagel. Very nicely done. Contemplate adding spring onion or shallot to your cream cheese 😃
Dropped in for a coffee and noticed the Ruben on the board... I'm a bit of a Ruben lover so jumped at the chance to get one. The sandwich was nice with good mustard and some really nice quality tasty silverside corned beef. But was it a good Ruben? Well not exactly. It should be rye bread with provolone or swiss cheese and Russian dressing served with a pickle on the side. There wasn't a pickle or Russian dressing but the rest was pretty good. I'd certainly buy it again. The coffee was a little milky but still nice. I think I'd ask for...
