It's fine. Nice enough food and a sizable drink menu but without wanting to sound rude the place did come off as a bit pretentious, and U do want to stress that this place is new so it's very possible a lot of my issues will go away as things settle down.
Uninspired modern decor and therefore no character to the place at all (again this place is very new so these things take time)
The pizza while nice is pretty underwhelming when you can pay the same money for a much larger pizza of the same quality next door.
Drink selection while large don't have much in the way of basic stables of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Even something like cans of coke aren't available and the alternative is a overmade less appealing glass of $5 cola. If that's your thing then fair enough but why not also have something simple to go alongside the more exotic options?
Also I've been there a few times now and the staff are quite friendly and seem pretty attentive but maybe a bit overly so asking evey couple of minutes if we needed something. Which shows a commitment to the job so it's not to be taken as a negative but maybe just something to mention.
If you're an average white middle class family then this place is probably the go to spot but for anyone else it's a good addition to the neighbourhood but probably only an...
Read moreWent to WWB on a Friday night for some after-work drinks and food. Was slightly disappointed when a friend and I were seated by the toilets on a very small table despite telling the servers that we planned on ordering food and don't think the table could accommodate us. They let us know that they would keep an eye on some free tables for us. It was a little disheartening seeing people who were only ordering drinks being seated at tables whereas we had actually planned on ordering food but were stuck at a tiny little side table that could barely fit four drinks. We ended up moving to the bar when we saw an available spot, however still definitely wasn't a big enough space for a pizza and charcuterie board alongside four cocktails. The pizza we ordered was delicious, however we would recommend they take off the prawn tails as they were a odd texture! The charcuterie board was nice, however I think it would be even better with a fruity component like some fresh fruit or a fig quince just to cut up the saltiness you get from the prosciutto, olives and cheeses! I know it's early days, but I think those are just a few things the WWB can work on to make the customer's experience a little better! Definitely will be coming back though will probably just get there a bit earlier to snag a table if I plan to...
Read moreThe local wine bar in Watsonia is absolutely amazing! I'd give it a solid five stars, no doubt about it. Their drink selection is off the charts. You've gotta try their Baileys Blissâit's out of this world! And the food? Yum! The pizzas have cool local names, and they're mouthwatering. They also have delicious, fancy boards and snacks that go perfectly with the drinks. But let me tell you, it's not just about the food and drinks. The staff there are the real dealâfriendly, chill, and total pros. You feel right at home. And I love that the owners, Tim and Shula, are locals themselves! They've created such a cool vibe; the atmosphere is just spot on. They recently added heaters and blinds, so you can enjoy the cozy ambiance all year round. And ⌠they welcome dogs! It's like a little community hangout. This wine bar is hands down the best thing to happen to our area. Trust me, the wait was totally worth it. You gotta check it out for yourself, it will...
