The Westmeadows Tavern (or Ol’ Broady Pub 😊) – excellent customer service, great family atmosphere and above average pub-grub, so lets break it down… Atmosphere: It’s a quaint little pub with good decor, a semi-old pub feel that has been refurbished well with that sense of history that if you pulled up a bar stool, one of the locals would be happy to tell a “back in the day” story. (you could probably even picture how it would have looked in the 50’s, not that the modernisation has let it down at all). It’s the local, but it’s history is well represented with many Blue Stone landmarks around the close area from pre 1930. Customer Service (Restaurant): Ordering is at the bar – No issue, as is common with pubs. It was a Sunday Lunch – overall not that busy. You are fronted with a maître d’s pillar to wait, and within seconds a very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful service attendant greeted us and sat us down to our reserved table. Menus were offered for review immediately and politely. Minor negative, The request for drinks were offered, but a bottle of chilled water was not provided to the table as a default while we waited for our other guests. I then requested this from the bar and they were more than happy to provide it to the table; outstanding, ty. We ordered in pairs and the order was submitted together to the kitchen. Great work! Entre (Garlic Bread, cheese and plain) was delivered within 10 minutes and mains 15-20 minutes after, excellent! Table was bussed and cleared respectful and quickly, and we were asked if the food was okay. Big Plus! Food: Average cost was about $18-$24 unless you want a steak dish. Order: Chicken Parma, Seafood Marinara, Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Roast of the Day (seniors menu), Caesar Salad. (see pictures) - C Parma – Delicious, couldn’t fault it! The chicken cooked amazingly, was a good thickness and breadcrumbs weren’t over used, Napoli sauce was sweet but full of tomato & herbs and the ham was smoked and flavourful complementing the cheese. - Seafood Marinara – beautifully rich sauce, pasta was cooked al dente - lovely. - BB Fish & Chips – Sauce on the side really brought out the extra flavour in dish. - Roast of the Day – Roast Chicken, not really impressed for a seniors meal, was just on average. - Caesar Salad – It would have been better to have the dressing on the side so I could limit the use; the pre-mix just killed the dish cause it was just too much dressing. Overall: The relaxed environment and open bistro area did provide an amazing family feel where everyone could be themselves and enjoy good conversation over some great pub-grub! If you are looking for a good family dinner or a place where mates can catch up for a bite and a few drinks! Look no further!

Came here Tuesday 2nd August for dinner with a friend for his birthday. Food was excellent and the serving size was larger than I could eat. The service from Ellie and Tahlia was amazing They both made sure our night was great. Even surprised us with a birthday dessert and candle So random and unexpected This was such a welcoming experience I had not seen in years and really made me leave this place thinking the 45mins travel to get here was not only worth it but worth returning too. Thanks Westmeadows Tavern, and hosts Ellie and Tahlia for bringing back amazing service standards and friendliness!

First time at this place and when we stepped in, we felt transported to another time. The decor and vibe felt so warm and welcoming 😍 We ordered the BBQ pork ribs and scotch fillet for dinner. The ribs were the BEST I’ve had - ‘talk about pulled pork’…it melted in my mouth. The sauce was just right with the sweetness and tangy-ness - rolling-eyeballs-good 🥰 The steak was cooked medium rare in peppercorn sauce, topped with creamy prawns. Steak was juicy and the sauce was 👍👍👍 SO coming back to try other dishes 👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏

I once again went to dinner here last Friday the 20th of June 2025. The menu had changed with the price of a senior's parmigiana going up to $21. Interesting to see that the menu indicated that a senior's chicken schnitzel was available for $16.50 and it would be an extra $4.50 if you wanted the parmigiana. When I received the seniors parmigiana it looked as if it was cooked the same way with the cheese and sauce being cooked on a schnitzel as an afterthought. The top of the parmigiana (ham & cheese) just came away from the schnitzel when I cut into it. The ham didn't appear to be cooked. The meal wasn't hot when it came out either. Meals were given to us without cutlery and the young staff member behind the bar didn't appear to want to be there. Unfortunately my ratings for this place has again been reduced as a result.

THE FOLLOWING WAS WRITTEN 4 MONTHS AGO Being regulars at Westmeadows Tavern it pains me to report that it is slowly coming out of favour with increasing meal prices and food not up to its usual great standard. My wife and I attended last night and were very disappointed in our meals. We both had senior meals and found that they were dry. We were under the impression that both meals were reheated and wondered if there was a different chef to usual preparing them. We choose the chicken parmigiana and chicken schnitzel. I must say that the other people we were with enjoyed their meals. The service and staff on this visit were, as usual, great. Disappointed and not sure we will return. Hoping it was one bad experience that won't be repeated. EDIT TO MY PREVIOUS POST ABOVE Since the above review I attended Westmeadows Tavern again 14/10/22 and as a result of my experience have given them an extra star today. I discussed the issue I had with my meal previously and again on this recent visit. The Manager Alannah was genuinely sorry to hear of my issue. Indicated that the chef hadn't changed however the parmigiana's are cooked differently to the way they were. Alannah and the staff were wonderful. Will visit again as it has a lovely...

Me my partner stayed close by as we had a flight out on July 30th so decided to take a walk from the hotel and get a meal close by. Upon arriving into the bistro a young blonde female saw us enter but didn't make any rush to seat or acknowledge us but continued her chat with what appeared to be one of her friends already in the bistro. When she finally decided to do her job and welcome us she explained there was only two tables available even though the restaurant was near enough empty. We requested a cozier area towards the back of the bistro at a table with more space she stated that two people are not allowed to sit on a four-person table. We asked why she said we just don't do that. As mentioned the place was near on empty. She had a terrible attitude from the start when she returned to the table to wipe it down she wiped the old food all over my partner's bag left and returned with two menus and brought the cuttlery and napkins and didn't even set the table and also forgot to bring the drinks menu. She explained there was no chicken available this evening and her attitude was just terrible from the start we decided not to eat there and leave and return to the hotel where the service was much better thankfully!to eat even though we did want to give our custom to the bistro. We did however have a nightcap at the bistro later on in the evening when a much nicer female worker was working behind the bar so this was the saving grace , the tavern was also very cute just a shame we encountered a very rude unprofessional female colleague working at around 8:30 p.m. on July the 29th. Also when we left the bistro we could hear her sniggering that she didn't have to serve us to another female Co worker with dark hair behind the bar, We dine out regularly and would have given our custom here but this member of staff needs more training and an attitude change sorry to mark the place down but people should be aware of what service they will receive if this...
