I received the wrong order despite confirming what I had ordered with the girl who served me. No big deal, I just went up to the front to let her know that I had received the wrong thing. She and the manager (who she had ran off to get while I just stood there confused) refused and told me that I had actually ordered what I had received despite the manager not even being present when I had placed the order which he acknowledged. When I asked how I could go about getting what I had actually ordered - both her and the manager insisted that I had to pay them again and place a new order. When questioned how that was even fair, the manager tried to get me to pay half price for an entirely new order so that “it was fair to both me and him.” Don’t see how forking out more money to actually get what I paid for is even remotely fair to me. I only ordered three small things so it’s not like I had ordered some large family meal that I was expecting to be replaced. Stay away from these total scammers. I did everything on my end to confirm my order was correct when placed, was nice about the mix up but then was spoken to so aggressively by the manager. I ended up just walking away with my wrong order after being essentially belittled by him during the brief conversation I had with him. Maybe don’t try to make your customers upset in the future. What a weird way to...
Read moreI miss the days when the customer, at no extra cost, got to season and add sauce to their own fish and chips. These came out already extremely heavily salted, something medically proven to cause cardiovascular diseases, renal and skeletal issues, neurological and intestinal disorders. If you want any kind of sauce, you have to pay additional fees. Things like ketchup, mustard etc used to be on the counter/table, but now businesses use every possible avenue to exploit the customer further. And nobody stops them. How long until cafes charge extra for adding sugar? After eating here I had parched, irritated gums and still feel uncomfortably dehydrated. Finally, try doing the maths on the 'meal deals'. The grilled seafood pack, for example, is more expensive than purchasing all listed items individually. They profit on your inaction and...
Read moreOrdered two fish pack and sat in the courtyard today. 20 minutes later food turned up. Just prior, I had walked out to the front to see what's taking so long and saw only one table with food, at least 6 tables of worried looking patrons and another 5-8 people standing around waiting for food. There was only one person on the fryer - hopelessly understaffed. It's Labour Day long weekend and everyone was hungry.
Food arrived a few minutes later. Chips were of the frozen bag variety, soggy and just slightly warm. Dim sims were definitely frozen variety, with batter coming off easy and warm. The two dips we had purchased prior were no long cold; the free two small dishes of home made tartar were room temperature. Horrifying.
Paying approx $30 to feed a family, and it's my first time here....
