Hudaks Bakery — Restaurant in Mildura

Went twice in our stay here. First time the service was slow but we got there in the end. Had to remind the person behind the counter 3 times what was order was due to a conversation being had with someone else. Our second and last time going there the latte s we ordered were so hot it burnt my wifes hands when she picked them up. A latte is meant to be served at 65 degrees which is easy to drink, these latte s were served closer to 90 degrees or hotter. You don't ever top up a latte with boiling water after the milk goes in a latte is meant to be a milky coffee! NOT a burn your hands and face off coffee when drinking it or carrying it. A big shout out to Carolyn. After a visit to Hudaks Bakery in the early afternoon on our drive from Adelaide to Sydney I inadvertently left my beautiful new comfy cushion in the bakery. I only realised it was there late that evening so called the next day. Carolyn offered to post it to me in Sydney which she did and it arrived promptly and carefully wrapped. How about that for amazing service and country hospitality. I visited Hudak’s in Mildura on recommendation from my pie appreciation club on Facebook and purchased 2 x beef chilli 2 x pepper streak and 2 x curry pies to take back to Melbourne frozen. I must say initially I was a little apprehensive as the depth was not huge but WOW, did the flavour pack a punch! Nice chunks of meat with flavours that lingered in my mouth.
