Thought it would be nice to come for Christmas day as a regular Iined up for 30 mins and texted friend the food menu When i got to the line was told only doing plain and almond croissant , then the guy took down the food sign lol , should have taken it down in the morning If i knew id go elsewhere
Also lugged my coffee cup around as i usually do and was told they dont have time to do keep cups today / So environmentally unfriendly , we are all trying to reduce waste here
CHRISTMAS ONLY COMES ONCE A YEAR AND IT IS MEANT TO BE SPECIAL - Next time just close or if you are going to open put on Socials that you are only doing 2 types of croissants!!! We would have we went elsewhere.
Coffee order took 20 mins to make and then i had to drive to another to get food , which then added another 30 mins to the day . If they simply took down the food board in the first place i would have seen they arent doing full menu and would have driven off right way without waiting in line for 20 mins and then another 20 for coffee. Then was late for Christmas event .
Such a poor effort , just do everyone a favour and close next year
I wish there was an option...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling service this morning from the blond waitress. After almost throwing down the breakfast toastie on our table, we asked for salt and pepper and she said there was none for customers whilst rolling her eyes. After insisting we would like salt and pepper she then relented saying she could get it from the kitchen. She then didn't bring it and when I went up to request it, she refused to get it, as she didn't like me asking and insisted I use her name. Finally she relented and brought back barely a sprinkling of salt salt pepper. I asked for more, she returned with exactly the same amount. I then showed a fellow customer the amount provided who agreed it was insufficient. The barista then had to intervene and get a reasonable amount. This was a terrible experience. In fairness, the barista was nice, but she started ganging up with her colleague to defend her, which didn't help as I was the paying guest. Would never return -thankfully I won't have to as I am...
Read moreLove this being a convenient local cafe nested in suburbia, but as a nearby resident, I've been disappointed multiple times by the service and food quality/standards. Once, I noticed flies buzzing inside the food cabinet and was told that a new glass panel was just about to be installed. Months later and the cabinet is still open at the back - yuck! I've also seen prices mismatched between their cabinet and the menu board, but when this was pointed out, the cashier said they "didn't know how to change it" in the till and charged us the higher price - which isn't right under Australian consumer law, as well as leaving a bad taste for customers. (The serving was also stale and under-toasted.) Such a shame for a nice spot in Mt Lawley!
Mistakes are understandable but it was disappointing that things didn't improve after customer feedback to the staff. I'd like to see the owners improve quality processes and staff training for a friendlier experience next time (if there is a...
