Club Mudgee is right in the middle of Mudgee, with plenty of disabled parking at the back door and lots of street parking. The meals in the bistro are large, delicious and reasonably priced, plus if you join for $3.50 you get a discount as well, on food and drinks. The Soldiers coffee shop has the best coffee and their latest addition waffles, with cream, ice cream and flavouring are to die for, the coffee shop also does toasted sandwiches mini pizzas, home made pies and sausage rolls, plus lots of yummy cakes and slices and also has a variety of g.f. so a little bit of sweetness for everybody, and nice big milk shakes and ice cream sundays for the kids. When covid permits there is also an indoor kids playroom, but plenty of green area outside for the kids to run around or play on the equipment, whilst mum and dad have a quite drink watching the fun the kids are having.Club Mudgee is great for any occassion that families would like to come together for celebrations or even that intimate wedding, with a function room and for clubs wanting a meeting room, they have that...

Hands down the worst place in town. The food is disgusting, the service is pathetic, and the staff couldn’t be lazier if they tried. They move slower than a snail in cement and then have the audacity to treat paying patrons like garbage.

I’m a platinum member — which means I’ve thrown tens of thousands through their pokies . Instead, they treated me like I was some drunk idiot. Sure, I’d had a few cocktails elsewhere, but when you’re basically funding their wages, the least they could do is show some respect. Instead, I got a rude, power-tripping lady behind the counter who clearly needs a reality check.

And honestly? It all makes sense now. Shaun the old general isn’t there anymore, and it shows. The place has gone completely downhill. No wonder he left.

Save your money. Go to the Golf Club, The Ori, or The Woolpack where the food is edible and the staff actually care. I’m at the Ori now being looked after properly — funny how it’s not that hard to get decent service anywhere else.

The pokies are terrible there, go to pack dragon links...

This was a disappointing dining experience with the food far from our expectations. We ordered the Mexicana pizza without ham and were told by the unfriendly server that we could not add pineapple to replace it. Really? The end result was an obviously store bought pizza base smothered in jalapeños, enough to turned this seasoned chilli lover off her meal. The accompanying guacamole was full of preservatives and straight from a container, actual avocado content negligible. We also ordered the Aussie burger, replacing the beef with fish - the thought of the promised addition of caramelised onion a delicious prospect. While the burger itself was reasonable - no caramelised onion, in fact no onion at all. I am at a loss as to why the food we ordered was not up to the standard I am certain the chef who created the menu intended. What our food was lacking, could so easily have been fixed. On a positive note, the person who greeted us at the entrance of the club was very welcoming, as were...

Unfortunately, as lovely as the staff were initially to book, I was embarrassed to have my guests arrive to an extremely hot and ill prepared room for my function. I booked months in advance and even called the morning of to ensure our air conditioning was on which it wasn’t. Upon speaking to the functions manager, she feels the duty managers weren’t told (they shouldn’t have to be! Yet I did ask staff to rectify and they didn’t) Function manager also feels this standard is acceptable to charge close to $300 for half a day. I had called the office three times after my event and had no calls returned. There were buckets full of water, damp carpets and an excessively hot room. I won’t be back sadly, and I don’t recommend for events. I did agree to pay in full anfter discussing with the function manager, and said I would leave a review accordingly after giving them a chance to amend which they did not. Even after the functions manager agreed the buckets could have been ‘positioned differently’.

Had a chance to go to club Mudgee for lunch with a friend on Wednesday 28/2/24 I am a social member and frequent this club because it never disappoints! The service is unbeatable; courteous, friendly, very professional and considerate to me, my guests and my assistance dog. The prices are very reasonable. As for the food; we both had the special; steak, chips and salad. I would very much like to compliment the chef Jas! The steaks were both cooked to perfection! (I am quite hard to please; in my working days we owned many restaurants in Sydney) also a big thank you to Colleen for looking after us at our table and to Ang for all your consistent help always. The coffee shop is also great with wonderful staff and yummy food, good coffee etc and gluten free offers I will of course be continuing to frequent my beautiful club!

I decided to give this place another try after hearing about the new chef, and I have to say, the food was better than it's been in the last couple of years still not 100%. This time, I got chips and salad with my steak, which was great, considering that on my last visit, the meal felt small and incomplete as they didn't do salad with the meal. There was a bit of a hiccup when the fire alarm went off while we were there, but overall, it was a much better experience than before. The bar staff were friendly and served drinks promptly, which added to the positive experience. While there's still room for improvement, it’s nice to see progress being made. Hopefully, they continue to get better! Will update on my review on my next visit if its any better..
