Lawson Park in Mudgee is the local gem where nature and community spirit collide in the most delightful way. If you're after a scenic stroll or a spot to picnic, this park has got you covered. The well-maintained playground is a hit with the kids, ensuring their boundless energy is well spent. Just a stone's throw from the pool, it's perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Whether you're keen on a leisurely walk along the river, a quick swim, or simply basking in the serene environment, Lawson Park is the ultimate go-to. Be warned, though: the combination of fresh air and beautiful views might just make you forget about your to-do...

A perfect opportunity to amuse ourselves at the Lawson Park Markets in Mudgee. We’d taken a walk through this park previously and it was great to see it come alive with stalls. It would be reasonable to think that the markets would consist of the same vendors, setting up in different locations on different Saturdays of the month - but no. Obviously some of the faces are the same but there were also a few garage-sale type stalls at this market which was bargain-central picking up a nice silver pendant as well as somely...

This place is amazing, suitable for all ages, with the added bonus of a fenced play area, workout stations on the walkways and bring fruit and veggies (no BREAD) to feed the ducks and other water birds and if there around 7.00pm you will see the bats dipping their wings in the river (how they drink) also we were lucky to feed a couple of cheeky possums a punnet of strawberries, so bring a picnic basket, or grab a takeaway, or just lean against a tree and read a book or for the energetic take a stroll after dinner around...

On our way back to Sydney after spending school holidays in Dubbo we had a lunch stop by at Mudgee. Couldn’t have made a better choice than Lawson Park. The park is close to the local shops and is located by the picturesque Cudgegong River offering a serene and inviting environment. This well-maintained park shall be at the top of my cards for future travels to our beautiful Central West NSW. The park provides a perfect spot for an Aussie barbie with a very good relaxation and recreation.

This is a lovely park with lot's of sculptures along the path beside the river. It has a viewing platform that gives you a good view of the river. A play area for the kids, tables & seats. You can walk under the bridge but unfortunately it could do with a good clean up and there were several shopping trolley's in the water. Plenty of seat's along the walk to have a rest.
