Mr Sushi King — Restaurant in Mudgee

For a small town sushi bar this place was pretty good. My kids and I enjoyed it.

When we first walked in I was a little concerned because there wasn't much variety on the train, there was no menu, or sauce bowls and no one really seemed interested in telling us how things worked.

Turns out I needed to go to the counter and ask for what I needed. We ordered and quickly got served, the waitress was lovely.

The salmon sashimi was lovely and fresh, as were the dumplings and katsu rolls. All the food was very good, probably better than the big franchise trains in Sydney.

The place was clean and well lit. I went in looking for sushi and was pleasantly surprised that they offered take away tray of various kinds of sushi. The lady that assisted me was friendly and helpful. Even going so far as to correct me when I asked if a certain sushi roll had shrimp in it. "It's a prawn! " she said and we all had a laugh. The sushi that I ate was good to me, I enjoyed it. The only downside is they did not have any unagi sushi, which is my favorite. ...
