Food was very average, service wasnt great. Whole dining experience felt quite rushed as waitresses continously came to only collect empty dishes despite there being an empty water jug right next to the dishes, they refused to refill it until asked.
They had a fairly young gentleman working there whom seemed like he still in primary school and he was very clueless about everything. When asked what the dish he was serving was he had no clue and had to ask other staffs and the way he served the dishes was very questionable. He would hold the plate/bowl with 4 fingers supporting the bottom and then the thumb literally 1cm away from dipping into the food. Its fine to have younger employees but they should at least provide a bit more support. Even some of their senior staffs on the floor wasnt sure what dishes they were serving, when asked about what meat a particular dish had, the senior floor could not tell by looking at it close up and literally started picking at the dish with the serving spoon and seemed like she wanted to pick up one of the meat...
Read moreThe food is quite good, but we had not so great of an experience getting it. We came for a pick-up takeaway on a Thursday night (which wasn’t that busy), and we had to wait over 1h to get 2 dishes (and 1 entree). After the 1h of waiting, we were in our car and realised that they forgot the rice paper rolls so we had to come back and ask for it. The staff were, however, nice and apologised for the waiting and the forgotten dish.
Regarding the food, it was good but not amazing. The chicken green curry and Tom yum were tasty, but the rice paper rolls were a disappointment. The wrapper was completely broken for both rolls, and there were no rice noodles in it but, instead, mostly baby spinach (which is not what I expect from rice paper rolls). There was also only 1 prawn in each roll (cut in half). The sauce for the rolls was good though.
The price for the curry is correct ($14.90), but the rice paper rolls are very overpriced ($11.90), as well as the Tom Yum, for which we paid an extra $3 for a tiny portion of noodles and an extra $2 for 3-4 tiny...
Read moreMy Thai in Mudgee is a standout spot that absolutely deserves a 5-star rating. Every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavour and cooked to perfection. The spring rolls and curry puffs were golden, crispy, and bursting with fresh, vibrant fillings—an ideal start to the meal. The crispy chicken lived up to its name, with a satisfying crunch and tender meat inside. The chicken Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, slightly sweet, tangy, and full of wok-charred goodness. The Massaman Curry was rich, comforting, and melt-in-your-mouth tender, while the stir-fried vegetables were fresh, colourful, and full of flavour. The service was warm and welcoming, rounding out a flawless dining experience. A true...
