Walked in at around 1.20pm and placed a reasonably large order, told it was a 30 minutes wait - not a problem. The person serving also mentioned we had only just made the cut off as the kitchen was closing at 1.30pm. Waited patiently for our drinks and food. Found it odd that after 25 minutes not even our drinks had come. Also noticed that almost the entire remaining chairs and tables were packed up and that staff were starting to hose things down. Went inside to ask if it would be easier if we got our order to take away so they could close up (as they clearly wanted to) only to be told our food and drinks weren’t being made AT ALL. Why on Earth would you let a table of four adults and a baby sit for 30 minutes waiting for a meal that was never coming?!?! To make it worse when all this came to light you didn’t even apologise, just stared at us like we were in the wrong. We even had to ASK for a refund. Safe to say we...

Great spot right on the Nambucca river. Had lunch here at The Boatshed cafe today 04/01/2023 ordered 2 of The Calamundi which was grilled Barramundi and crumbed calamari with salad. Both meals came out together and one had 3 pieces of calamari on top of fish and the other had 2 pieces, I thought that’s ok as long as it tastes good. We’ll the Barramundi was “Mullet” my wife said it’s mullet before I even said anything. We buy Mullet regularly and we know it’s distinctive flavour. It was definitely Mullet. The meal was nice and tasty just not what was ordered and paid for. I mentioned this to the head waitress and she said it’s Barramundi. I do come here every couple of months and looks like it may have new owners, if so they won’t last long if they think their customers are stupid. Just a heads up to everyone. I like mullet but it’s not what I...

My wife and I enjoy the cafe's food - tasty, adequately sized, sensible value and a reasonable selection. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location is super... you can be seated right beside the glisteningly beautiful Nambucca River! But I'm not finished... we go there regularly for the coffee! The brand served is Botero. That's a great start. But don't you like it when each time you visit, the coffee is consistently excellent? You actually get what you pay for every time - no hit and miss... and you can sip as you soak up the atmosphere of one of Australia's prettiest and most welcoming coastal towns. All of the baristas are excellent - especially Hannah! Thoroughly recommended for enjoyable food and especially, their consistently...

Breakfast off toasted croissant and EB Tea. Friendly and prompt service, great location but tired cafe, dying for a makeover in such a lovely spot as there is so much potential Well done to the cafe for serving the jam and butter in a pot rather than using pre packaged items that so many cafes use and are so bad for the environment Nice croissant but small and must have come from Woolies as not bakery style Sadly butter I ordered came out as margarine…. And the toasted croissant must have been under the grill for a millisecond as not toasted at all. How hard can it be to get these simple things right???? As mentioned by many reviewers, the prices are far too much for the quality of the food and the quality of the cafe.

Travelling through and stopped for brunch, great breakie of poached eggs, roast tomatoes, avocado and bacon. My husband also had scones as they were fresh out of the oven and couldn't help himself! He was pleased to report that they were light and delicious with just the right 2.1.1 ratio! Fabulous spot over the water, we had our back in the sun on the side porch and could have happily stayed there...but needed to press on. Staff were very friendly, helpful and plentiful. I was glad to note that the local RSL who must have something to do with this boatshed has plans to upgrade the bathrooms...they were clean but in need of repair and the cubicles are very small.. just fyi

Lovely setting right on the banks of the Nambucca River at Nambucca Heads. Quick and accurate service. Choice as to where one sits. Very limited inside so most sit on the deck or outside once Summer arrives. They cater for groups with the Coffs Harbour & District Motorcycle Restorers Club are regular visitors. They have a regular coffee club card with benefits. Parking is free with plenty of spaces including the adjoining RSL club carpark. It is adjoining also a boatshed and boat hire business. Has free restrooms. Only problem is the prices of their cakes and slices they are way too expensive I know most of my group just have a coffee due to the high costs of deserts.
