Zambrero Nedlands — Restaurant in Nedlands

Please don't make the same mistake as me get the special burrito bowl with the black rice.

The rice was definitely undercooked or just raw and apart from that there must've been something else wrong with the rice. I say this because this meal caused me to be in gruelling stomach pain and then continuous vomiting followed by intense and painful diarrhoea. I believe it must've caused some sort of bacterial infection and there may genuinely be something seriously wrong with their black rice and their ability to cook rice. The rest of my family are all fine and I was the only one to have the black rice.

I sincerely hope they learn how to cook black rice properly. If you care about your health, or simply don't want food poisoning don't get the black rice in your Zambrero's order. Or maybe just make a burrito...

We had a fantastic experience at Zambrero on Stirling Highway. Despite arriving late, just 15 minutes before closing, Rutu and Parth greeted us with warmth and friendliness. They went above and beyond, allowing us to stay past closing time while they finished their cleaning.

What stood out was their thoughtfulness—they even let us use the staff sink to wash our hands before eating.

The restaurant itself was bright, welcoming, and impeccably clean. The food was delicious, and we found the kid’s portions to be excellent value for money—generous enough to satisfy our 11-year-olds.

I had a very disappointing experience . I was charged extra for three sauces, which has never happened at any other Zambrero I’ve visited around Perth — and I’ve been to almost all of them.

When I raised the issue with the staff, they called the owner, who insisted that they charge extra at his three stores. This feels unfair and inconsistent with the rest of the Zambrero experience.

It’s frustrating when customers are treated differently depending on the location, and it really left a bad impression. I won’t be returning...
