This review is based on visiting one time and ordering stuffed chicken wings, Hanoi Prawns Sizzling Duck, Crispy Duck, fried egg noodles with duck, BBQ Pork and fried ice cream. Firstly I would like to say the venue itself is really nice, well decorated and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The prawns had very little flavour and the duck also was bland and disappointing. Seeing we ordered 3 duck dishes it unfortunately ruined the experience for us. I can't speak for their other dishes, but I have had duck in many Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants and this was unfortunately amongst the worst. The crispy duck was only crispy because it was coated in a type of batter and fried. The actual duck skin was not crispy at all. The BBQ pork had quite a nice flavour, but it wasn't a proper pork cutlet like you would usually get in a Vietnamese restaurant. It had no crispy fat areas, very lean and a bit tough. For the price it seemed like a small serve too. The fried ice cream was not traditional fried ice cream. it was coated in some sort of coconut cake which was crumbly and soft and the ice cream inside was rock hard. The sauce drizzled on top was terrible, like home brand Coles sauce, very watery tasting. We wanted to like this restaurant, but unfortunately...
Read moreWe are long time dinners. Took 2 guests for dinner last night. Waited 1hr 20mins for meal. Fish dish was not what was ordered. Came back over cooked & BAD! ! Didn’t eat it or pay for it. Owner wouldn’t come to the table upon request. 4 Compensation fried icecream requested. Only 2 left! 2 Sticky rice offered in place. No rice in the dish!!! Compensation coffee requested in lieu. No - we must pay. Owner still won’t come to discuss many issues. Instead the very sweet helpful waitress was continuously sent in owners place. One birthday dinner went horribly wrong with BAD FISH. Lack of good service & commitment to guests. Thus displaying a “don't care attitude”, pay the...
Read moreHad the raw beef salad, sizzling lamb, salt and back pepper squid.
I highly recommend any of the sizzling dishes (personally, I think beef might be the best combination). The sizzling dishes have a sweet sauce that's really delicious and good to pair with rice. The lamb has a little more lamb smell/taste which is why I recommend trying the beef/chicken instead. Raw beef salad was very flavourful while the squid was decently tasty with sufficient seasoning and could be great when paired with flavourful dishes. Great service from the waitresses as well!
Will come back again to try other dishes and the...
