As a former regular at RF, I was excited to return for a morning treat for the kids, but the experience was far from welcoming. In the past, drivers were asked to proceed to the last available speaker to order, which prevented traffic building up on the highway. Unaware that this had changed, I mistakenly drove past the first speaker. Instead of a polite correction, I was met with a rude and disrespectful response from the server. When I attempted to explain my mistake, the server abruptly walked away and returned only to talk over me in a loud, dismissive manner. Even my 11 yo son was shocked by her behaviour.
When I added a banana bread before I paid (as it wasnāt on the menu when I ordered) - this appeared to upset her. In the past, RF was very accomodating and the servers would simply ask you to wait on the side, if they needed more time. While she did say āthank youā when handing over the food and drinks, a fleeting moment of common courtesy, it didnāt make up for her earlier behaviour.
This made me wonder: Was I treated this way because of the colour of my skin? Itās a troubling thought, but the experience left me feeling unwelcome and humiliated in a way Iāve never felt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe coffee is great at this place but this review is particularly regarding an item I ordered today. So many issues with it. Ordered smashed avo. Price on the board was 8$. But they charged 11$. When I asked, Iām told it starts from 8$. They should reflect the original prices without any dramas.
The order was bland. Just bland. They basically scooped avocado on a slice of bread with a tomato on each side. And it was served hot. Iāve never had a hot smashed avo. Toasted bread with cold smashed avo was what I used to get served wherever I ordered from.
Get the coffee but NEVER get the smashed avo toast unless you donāt mind spending 11$ to be thrown straight into the bin.
The staff I told to was however kind enough and took the feedback with a smile. She offered me something instead but I just wanted to leave a feedback for them. Iām putting up a picture so you can get an idea of what youāll get served. You guys decide if this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI grabbed a coffee on my way to the city from Mandurah trainstation where theres a kiosk. Was told by the barista/cashier that the owner also owns this place in Nedlands and is verry particular about his coffee. A 'coffee connoisseur', if you will.
I'm not too big on most coffees, however I really enjoy a strong double-shot dirty chai. Hands down best coffee ive had in the year ove been drinking coffee.
Would legit travel to Nedlands or Mandurah just to have one of these coffees again hahah. This coffee ignites something beautiful in me, and it's not just the caffiene. It's roasted so smoothly, and doesn't need any extra sweetener in it, though the cinnamon adds a nice touch, as always.
Will definitely be visiting the coffee house in...
