I came from Sydney for holidays. Thought to get some food for the dinner. Went there and ordered my food at around 7:10 pm the lady told me would take 30 to 35 mins. Went back to my hotel, came back to collect food around 7:45 pm, and the lady said will take 10 mins and have to wait as they said they were busy. I waited, a girl came and told me to wait outside due to COVID will bring your food once it is ready. People were dinning inside and just because it was a takeaway I have to wait outside despite the fact I paid $70 for food. Anyways. I went in there again at 7:05 pm to inquire the girl she replied “we already told you that we will bring food once its ready” I insisted her to tell me about exact time, she went inside and told the lady who took my order and she told me its coming now. I went outside again and at around 8:15 pm I received my order. It took me 1 hour and 10 mins to get 2 curry, 2 naan and side of rice all for $70.
Anyways food was alright, wouldn’t say it was the best but it was good but service and wait time was a big...
Read moreThis is a family run business. We were assisted greatly by the son. He invited us to have dinner at his family's restaurant. My Indian friend joined me for dinner. Her experienced taste buds gave a big thumbs up to the entree dishes. By the time the main dishes arrived we were rather full. We decided to take them home and have them for dinner the next day. It tasted even better! I would definitely recommend having a meal here if you are travelling through Nelson Bay and love Indian. I would also recommend that you discuss whether you prefer strong flavours or milder flavours. Other dietary requirements such as low salt should also be discussed prior to ordering to ensure your taste buds experience the full authentic flavours of this Indian-style cooking. The family will do whatever they can to make sure you have a very satisfying Indian experience. Bless you again Nev for helping out two poor stranded...
Read moreWe were met inside by the lovely and friendly Lisa who took us to our table. It was a quiet evening so the choice of table was extensive. The menu was laid out simply in the different types of meat, ie, chicken, lamb, beef and seafood. After about four minutes, Lisa came and asked if we wanted any drinks, wine, beer and water was asked for. Lisa returned with our drinks a couple of minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. We had starters of chicken tikka which was succulent and very tasty. My wife and I had the goat (extra hot), chicken madras, Peshewar naan and basmati rice. The food was served quickly and hot and was delicious. We had more drinks and finished off a lovely meal. A special thanks goes to Lisa for making a good...
