Food wasn't good enough and Had worst experience on a holiday.
Reason: "Lady(waitress) denied the order and asked us to leave, just because there were other customers."
Details: I and few of my friends went to this restaurant on easter holiday.
I'm an Indian and this is a Indian restaurant hence I expected to place order in courses. So we ordered starters and main courses at first. It took lot of time and quantity wasn't as we expected. (We had ordered enough curries but it wasn't sufficient for us). So we ordered extra breads and lady made some face like we were asking them for free. Breads also took long and curries weren't sufficient for extra breads we ordered. So we asked for Rice as third course of meal and daal(lentils curry), the lady started making faces and told us that she'll have to ask the chef if rice can be prepared. And then she indirectly told us not to order anything else with the words: "there are other customers as well".
I was saddened by this fact because we were 9 person, we didn't order too much and we were neither demanding nor we asked for quick delivery. Besides, there weren't many customers and we were ready to wait for the dishes. But her response was shocking for us.
I've been to many busy restaurants (10 times busier than this restaurant) and never had such a response.
Well, it was just my experience but considering food I didn't find it satisfying at all. So "Hated It" rating is for both Food and...
Read morerecently visited [the only place indian restraunt], an Indian restaurant located in [Australia], and was genuinely impressed by the quality of food and service. The menu offers a diverse range of traditional Indian dishes, from rich butter chicken and flavorful biryanis to perfectly spiced vegetarian curries.
The ambiance was warm and inviting, with Bollywood music playing softly in the background and tasteful Indian décor enhancing the experience. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to offer recommendations for first-timers.
One standout dish was the lamb rogan josh — tender meat in a deeply aromatic sauce. The garlic naan was fresh, fluffy, and the perfect complement to the curry. For dessert, the gulab jamun was indulgent and satisfying.
Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, and everything tasted authentic and freshly prepared. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is definitely worth a...
Read moreWe recently visited with a large group of around 20 people and ordered about 10–12 different dishes from the menu. Unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired.
While we weren’t expecting a top-tier culinary experience given the small-town setting and limited competition in the area, the food still fell short in several key areas. The taste lacked the authenticity typically associated with Indian cuisine — spices and flavours felt muted or off-balance across most dishes.
Another noticeable concern was the portion sizes, which were quite underwhelming considering the price point. For a group our size, the quantities served were not sufficient and did not reflect typical standards in Indian dining where generosity is often part of the experience.
Staff were polite and service was decent, but unfortunately the food itself didn’t meet even modest expectations. If you're looking for a truly authentic Indian meal, you might be left...
