I purchased two 2-person sparkling high tea vouchers for four of us to enjoy. After the reception getting the booking wrong, and only booking one couple, we sat down. The waitress brought us a menu, totally unaware that we had already booked and paid for the sparking high tea. After explaining our booking included the sparkling high tea, we waited 35 minutes for our sparkling wine to arrive, and a further 15 minutes before our high tea arrived. Keep in mind that there were only about 3 tables with people in the restaurant at this time and they knew what we had ordered from the voucher. When the sparkling wine was brought to the table by the owner, we asked him for a cup of tea for my daughter, rather than the sparkling wine. It seemed that we caught him completely unaware, as if no one had ever asked for tea at a high tea venue before. He did however bring a pot of tea. The quality of the food was disappointing; dry and tasteless, and included a bonus hair in one of the desserts. For high tea, I would expect that after the initial sparkling wine, we would be brought a tea menu (after all, it is "high tea"). No; tea and coffee are provided at an additional cost. The service was poor and disjointed, and although two of the waitresses were friendly, it seemed like it was their first day on the job. Having had high tea elsewhere, this was a very disappointing experience. I recommend missing this place and trying...
Read moreLovely little venue - new establishment so obviously the rating reflects this. The food was very well presented and tasted great - good assortment of flavours. Main reason for 4* is that it's not advertised as the what types of flavours you're getting at all. For example there were a few food items that we didn't enjoy because it's just not suitable to our palette. Quality food but wouldn't have spent so much for so little food actually eaten by our palette. Service was friendly but needs more training - felt like new diner staff rather than an elegant high tea experience. Example is time for wait staff and attention to tables weren't fantastic especially considering it was a slow day - only 3 tables happening; which leads into the 4* for atmosphere. The vibes were pretty and a beautiful decor situation but with a very light amount of guests it felt empty. Although the decor was lovely also, the table settings felt a bit "cheap". Overall experience was lovely but a "high-tea" focused establishment in my opinion needs to feel like you could invite the Queen there and this just didn't have that vibe going for it. Would be great place to take your child - however a bit pricey for that type of outing. I wouldn't go back for high-tea - but 100% would return for a casual tea/ wine/ mocktail...
Read moreAll the food that was served was from coles! As a table of 10 people we didnt get a choice of what we wanted got told we only get traditional high tea.. some dont drink tea or coffee so had to pay extra for soft drink.. which was room temperature with 3 ice cubes chucked in.. service was just terrible it was just 2 people 1 lady and 1 guy and they were to busy making out in the kitchen while a child was running in and out.. Paid over $530 for my group would of gotten better service at a pub.
To top it off the bathroom was absolutely disgusting lights not working only 1 toilet had toilet paper and it was just shoved in .. some toilets out of order..
It looks beautiful from photos and inside but for $57plus per person definitely was not worth it.
The gluten free option aswel was pretty terrible 1 mini coles brand sausage roll, and 2 little dry cakes and had to pay a extra...
