Disappointing Experience on a Saturday Night I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening at 6 PM, two hours before their 8 PM closing time. Upon arrival, I noticed the sushi train was completely empty. I asked the staff at the cashier if they were closing, and she assured me they were not, instructing us to sit down. When I pointed out the lack of food on the train, she explained that they were preparing fresh dishes.
We sat down and waited, but the sushi train remained empty for over 30 minutes. During this time, more customers arrived, and it became clear that the kitchen was prioritizing Uber Eats orders over dine-in customers. Eventually, a waitress approached us and informed us that they were cutting back on dishes and that we would need to order directly from the menu. She offered a 15% discount as compensation for the inconvenience.
We ordered a plate of 8 sushi rolls (the minimum allowed, as per the menu), 3 spring rolls, and some salmon with rice. When it came time to pay, the waitress charged us the full menu price. I reminded her about the promised 15% discount, to which she replied, "Oh, that's only after 7:30 PM." After some back-and-forth, she reluctantly applied the discount.
The chefs seemed overwhelmed, as there were only two of them handling both dine-in and takeaway orders. Itâs clear the issue lies with the management, not the kitchen staff. The entire dining area was filled with frustrated customers, many of whom expressed that they would not return.
This experience was incredibly disappointing, and I hope the owners take note of these operational issues to improve the service for...
Read moreWent here for lunch the other day and was not impressed. Waited ages to be seated and was absolutely ignored while waiting in line outside despite making eye contact with theâmainâ server multiple times - honestly just a quick âwonât be too much longerâ / âweâre a tad busy, will help you as soon as we canâ would have been appreciated?
The young girl serving us however was lovely, but the overall experience was below average. There were hardly any of the regular coloured plates ($5) it seemed like they were only selling the more expensive dishes ($6) which was also disappointing. I would get the higher priced food if the quality was maybe a bit better but it was average ,or if there was more variety even, but it wasnât great that only the more expensive plates were being refreshed, felt like the staff couldnât be bothered with the regular ones. The food was alright and the variety, like mentioned, was just not what it used to be.
All in all it feels like thereâs been a decline in quality food and servers, which is disappointing since this used to be an OG sushi spot in Erina. Hopefully it gets better. Rooting...
Read moreI recently visited this sushi train with modest expectations, but I was let down in almost every way. One of the dishes I ordered was overcooked and burnt and completely tastelessâimpossible to enjoy and eat. The other dishes were bland and lacking in flavor, making the whole meal feel more like a chore than an enjoyable dining experience.
To make matters worse, the prices were on the higher side for what was essentially tasteless food. Youâd think with those prices, the food would be something special, but that was far from the case.
The staff didnât seem interested in how my meal was going. Despite leaving food on my plate, no one asked if there was a problem. Instead, they seemed more focused on rushing me to pay and leave, rather than dealing with any potential feedback.
In summary, this place is a prime example of what happens when high prices meet low standards. Save yourself the regret and find another sushi spot where they actually care about the food and the...
