We booked almost 40 minutes prior for a Sunday lunch at 1:30 for three people, we live about an hour away so we're really looking forward to dining here. However, upon arrival the restaurant was quiet with many empty tables, there was no music and the vibe was a bit off. They had about five small tables of people and one larger table of about 10 people inside, with two tables of two ppl outside. Despite this, we waited 2 minutes to be seated by the one waitstaff visible, he appeared stressed and sweaty and before we even sat down he rushed and told us that they had just gotten a HUGE order put through and that wait times for the food would be 40 to 45 minutes. He was proffessional but he really emphasised how large the order was and how long a wait would be aka don't come and dine here. We went 'Oh ok' and were a little disgruntled as they took our booking and it was by no means even half full and we planned to meet a friend there for lunch. We would have shared two pizza's and had two drinks max. I looked into the kitchen and saw only one visible chef, clearly they were understaffed for a Sunday lunch. We passed by on our way out of Erina at 4 in the afternoon after having a lovely lunch elsewhere and it was dead quiet in GPK. No wonder. Would have loved to come here but clearly dodged a bullet, they should have adequate staff to service all their bookings or why bother taking them in the first place?

The most repulsive food I have ever eaten, the bin ate most of it. The pizza bases are exactly like a frozen pizza. They also add soggy lettuce as a topping. I don't think they know what gourmet means. These people need to be reported to the authorities. If you respect yourself don't eat here. Anyone that claims that this is good pizza has never had a good pizza or knows the owners of the establishment. The only saving grace is their lovely staff. Who should really find jobs elsewhere. The customer service substantially exceeds the quality of food and is the only reason they received two stars.

We came in on a super busy Saturday night. Looks like were serving two different kid's parties. Our starters came out but we waited nearly an hour for mains. The experience was fully redeemed though. The manager came over with another fresh and complementary starter and apologised. He then offered us another round of drinks on the house. We got our delicious pizzas and left the restaurant satisfied. Other busy restaurants should take note. This is how you treat your customers and ensure they return. I've never experienced this kind of hospitality in a busy restaurant before. Well done GPK team!

Unfortunately last nights visit will be our last. It had been a few months since our last visit as it was atrocious but we wanted to give them another chance. Sadly it was even worse, which we thought was impossible.

I called the restaurant to place a takeaway order & was advised there was a 45 minute wait for takeaways. Out of shock I simply said “oh goodness” as I was not expecting an almost hour wait (especially for takeaway) however I was met with a rude, aggressive tone on the other end from the woman names Penny who yelled back at me “well we’re really busy sooo”. Very rude, very unprofessional. I told her I’d call back but I just needed to check with my husband we were happy to wait that long. She snapped back rudely, said something along the lines of “yep, you do that” and hung up abruptly.

This should have been the sign for us to spend our money elsewhere but stupidly I phoned back to place our order.

3 entrees, 2 pizzas. Specifically no capsicum on one of the pizzas as I am ALLERGIC. This was stated multiple times to the young girl who took my order and she read it back to me correctly.

50 minutes later I arrived to pick up our order, it was clear the restaurant was busy and as usual they were understaffed. Paid cash for the order with Penny, offered her the extra 10c to make change a bit more easy & she declined rudely as if I had insinuated she couldn’t work out the change on her own. (Not at all what I was doing, I simply didn’t want a bunch of silver change in my wallet).

Grabbed my pizzas & walked outside to the car only to smell capsicum. Opened my pizza & realised it was covered in red capsicums despite asking specifically & multiple times for none, as I am allergic.

Made my way back into the restaurant & spoke to the young girl on the till about the mistake. The young girl struggled on the till for a few minutes to put the order through at $0 for the kitchen & eventually Penny came over to assist.

From the get go, Penny was rude, unapologetic & seemed frustrated towards me that THEY had made this mistake. Completely unwarranted, unprofessional & on their end - embarrassing. She clarified I would like it remade to which I said “yes I am allergic”. She directed me to sit down and it’ll be ready as quickly as they can. I wanted to know how long it would take as it was a 45 wait initially, she screamed back at me while throwing her hands around “I don’t know. We have all these tables. We’re very busy” To which I responded that is actually not my problem & had they made my pizza correctly they wouldn’t need to remake it. She continued to argue with me while I simply just wanted to know how long it would take to remake ONE pizza- surely you’d rush it through right ???

She just continued to raise her voice at me saying “I don’t know!” “I can’t tell you that!” Until I finally said “ok, so what is stopping one of you from walking over there to the kitchen & asking your chef?” (Reasonable)

Penny rolled her eyes, spoke to the young girl who then went to the kitchen.

Penny continued to rudely ask me if I was going to sit and wait to which I replied “you’ll have that answer when you tell me the wait time. I’m not sitting here for 45 minutes again” Again, rolled her eyes and started serving the next customer.

The young girl came back and advised the wait time for this replacement pizza would be 45 MINUTES. 45 MIN TO REMAKE ONE PIZZA WHICH THEY MESSED UP? Unbelievable.

I told them I wanted a refund and up until this point there was apology, just comments from Penny saying “mistakes happen”, “we’re extremely busy”. Again, terrible rude tone and very blame focused on me when I did nothing wrong.

It wasn’t until Penny handed me my refund & some vouchers I threw straight in the bin her tone changed and she apologised. Unfortunately, too late.

The damage was done. The service was atrocious as usual and we will not return.

We supported this small business a lot during covid & visit quite a lot for takeaway. This is not the first time this woman has been rude or our...

Where do I even start?! This place is run so poorly!!! My extremely basic pizza, the Rockhampton (which cost almost $20), took 45 minutes to arrive at the table on a Tuesday night, with only a few other tables in the place. The waitress was flat out running around because she and the manager were the only staff out front, and she came across very abruptly (clearly, a product of how poorly managed the restaurant is and how many duties she had to fulfil). The manager was awful. I saw someone raise their hand to request service and he told them to put it down, providing a lecture on restaurant etiquette - quite a laughable response, given his service was far below standard. I guess the customer doesn't deserve to be treated respectfully? When my beer arrived, it was flat as it hadn't been refrigerated and when I asked for another I had to wait 15 minutes for another drink. The place is heavily understaffed and overpriced. The manager's attitude is my main complaint, he came across far too forcefully dealing with both customers and staff members who couldn't possibly work any harder. He is a horrible man. I won't be eating at GPK again, hopefully others will follow suit having...
