I am usually quite a happy customer and rate most businesses five star. This time I take time to actually provide the feedback. The food was delicious - no doubt. However, the service itself was out of average. Me and my friend had to wait to be seated to have breakfaston a beautifulSundaymorning (which I understand in the current circumstances of covid), then the chair was wet so asked for a serviette or a tissue and was told to wait a bit. So, I did, and nothing happened. Then I had to ask again and was told to simply swap chairs with the one that isn't wet. Okay...did that. Then, we waited to be served and expected to get some table water to start with. No sign of it. I had to go to the counter and ask for it. 10 min later, still waiting. So, I go again mentioning that I've already asked for water before. "Yes, yes, we'll get someone to bring you a jar and cups". And nothing happens. So, I helped myself and took a jar of water and the cups from another table, sorry. Then we finally placed an order - 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees. 20 min later we were served the food with no sign of coffees. So, we had to ask for it. "I'll check", - was the answer. Next minute the coffees arrived. Must have been sitting on the counter for a while because it was luke warm... To conclude, the food was delicious, let alone the location of the cafe. However, the service...please try harder. We are locals and really are easy to please kind of customers, honestly. Diggies, you should dig deeper for a better customer service. I will think twice should I go...
Read moreDiggies makes you want to dig your food into the ground and spit on it. I was with my family to eat here for a little break before we headed back to Sydney. To say I am not impressed is an understatement. Upon arrival, we were told we could not be seated, however, it was Easter so it was understandable. What is not understandable is that they still took in orders despite their OVERPOPULATED space. Letâs begin with the mutual problem of the many reviews about this cafe; the customer service. It was disappointing, specifically the waiting time for food - an ordering of two milkshakes was about a 40 minute wait, and the food took much longer than an hour to be given to us. Workers of this cafe, itâs this simple: if you want to take as much orders as possible, expand your worker team, because clearly you were struggling to keep up with all of the orders. The food was mediocre at best; there were pieces of other foods in our food, such as small pieces of beetroot looking food in our banana bread; a similar case to that one review where they discovered plastic in their granola bar. The apple doesnât fall far from the tree it seems. The calamari had a bit of a bitter aftertaste, according to our family members. After eating, one of our family members had gotten sick with a stomach ache.
A warning to people coming here, do not come here on weekends and public holidays and be very cautious of the...
Read moreBrunch was booked for 11am with two teacher friends for a much awaited catch up. Booking was made but we were not informed that they are only one hour time slots! Iâve never experienced being told to leave from a cafe due to a time limit! We had each ordered meals worth approximately $20 each (so not cheap) plus coffee and after one hour we tried to order more beverages and dessert. Much to our horror we were told by the waitress that our hour was up and we would need to leave! I go to numerous cafes on the South Coast in Kiama, Gerringong and Huskisson and have NEVER been asked to leave due to time limits. Had we been allowed to stay longer, we would have bought more beverages and food. As it stood, we left paying each $25. That would have doubled for each of us had we been âallowedâ to stay for another hour and a half! The waitress appeared not to have any understanding as to why we may have been perturbed by being asked to leave! We stated that if this is their policy then it should be stated on their website and when the booking is made! We will never be going to this cafe again as one hour is nowhere near enough for a catch up with my girlfriends! Mindless policy! How NOT to attract customers! Especially foodies like myself and my girlfriends! Absolutely bizarre situation! And such a shame as we enjoyed the food and coffee that...
