I recently had the misfortune of visiting a Korean BBQ restaurant that left me utterly disappointed. From the moment I stepped in, it was clear that this place was not up to par. The boss, who happened to be a big, overweight lady, demonstrated the worst kind of attitude towards her employees, and it truly tainted my entire dining experience.
Let me start by highlighting the exceptional service provided by one of the employees. Despite the chaotic atmosphere and the boss's constant berating, this particular employee remained composed, courteous, and did their best to ensure our needs were met. It was evident that they were genuinely passionate about their job, creating a pleasant atmosphere despite the boss's incompetence.
However, the real problem lay with the boss herself. Instead of leading by example and providing guidance, she chose to publicly humiliate her staff over the most trivial mistakes. I witnessed her reprimand an employee for a minor error, and the way she handled the situation was appalling. Rather than offering constructive criticism or providing an opportunity for growth, she unprofessionally disciplined him. It was a clear display of her lack of empathy and respect for her staff.
Furthermore, the boss's demeanor throughout the evening was nothing short of unpleasant. She exuded an air of superiority, treating everyone, including customers, with a condescending attitude. Her constant hovering and criticism created an uncomfortable environment, making it nearly impossible to relax and enjoy the meal. It's disheartening to see such a toxic work environment, and it reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole.
To add insult to injury, the food itself was mediocre at best. The meat was bland, and the side dishes lacked the authentic flavors that one would expect from a Korean BBQ restaurant. The overall quality was far from what I've experienced at other establishments of this nature, and it further reinforced my disappointment in the management.
In conclusion, my visit to this Korean BBQ restaurant was marred by a boss who clearly lacked the necessary skills to lead and motivate her employees. The treatment of the staff, was unacceptable. The negative atmosphere created by the boss overshadowed any positive aspects of the dining experience, making it a regrettable choice for anyone seeking a pleasant meal. As a business owner myself , I am appaled by the owners professionalism. I highly recommend exploring other options instead of subjecting yourself to this unfortunate...
Read moreI have had the unfortunate circumstance of visiting this establishment tonight, my girlfriend leaves for Canada tomorrow for 3 months and I was hoping this venue would be a great dinner before she left.
To start off; The Food, food was below par. I felt like the only thing that had any sort of substance of flavour was the kimchi (more than likely store bought)
The service, sure the waiters were nice but they would not stop staring at us. It felt like myself and my partner were being singled out in the whole resteraunt, this led to us feeling very uncomfortable and not wanting to dine there. (This was after we had ordered and started our meal). Every 20-30 second the server would come to our table to do something, whether it be taking control of our BBQ or changing grills, they were always there. My partner felt so uncomfortable that she could not eat at all. All of these points tie in with the atmosphere of the establishment, we felt like we were being rushed to leave, we were allowed in there and that we were incompetent.
Overall this venue would get a 1/10, I really wish that I did not waste $104 on something we could not enjoy. If you're reading this, I hope you don't fall victim to...
Read moreThere are less choices available on the menu compared to other Korean restaurants I visit regularly in Sydney, but the service is friendly, and the choices available were delicious.
They provide 7 bonus dishes alongside your meal, including raw chilli crab, kimchi, soy bean sprouts, lettuce, chilli pickles, black beans and sweet potato mash.
BBQ options include several cuts of pork and beef, lamb, ox tongue, prawns, squid and chicken. Both marinated and plain. Vegetables and mushrooms are available.
They have both chives and kimchi pizzas, but no seafood pizza. They don't have black bean noodles, but have several soups and meat & rice dishes available.
4 types of beer, and multiple rice wines plus soft drinks are available.
They take credit cards, but no split bills.
The time between ordering and receiving the food is a bit slow when it gets busy, but the food was high quality, and I will definitely revisit again next time I am up there, as the quality is very good.
The restaurant has the pull down style extractor fans per table and did not become smoky despite all the meat...
