Gosford Waterfront Park — Attraction in Gosford

We were in Gosford and i remembered reading about new waterfront park.

Wow! What a nice discovery!!

It features 3 varous playgrounds. Whoever designed this park really put their thinking hat on to create a wilderness and adventure and lots of climbing/sliding things all rolled in one.

I am not sure about toilets (couldn't see any). However, there are BBQ and lots of tables. Making it an ideal spot for a birthday party.

I am not huge fan of stone benches - they will probably feel really cold in the winter and hot in the peak of summer.

However ive see few people bring their own chairs.

Not to sound negative but it is ideal playground for cooler months - no trees/shade to speak of for parents to hide under in the hotter months.

On the positive side - it is so packed jam with various features that it is truly worth a visit.

This is such a missed opportunity. The designers didn’t seem to do much community consultation about how to best use the space. The original design with the bark was horrid and provided no pathways for kids to play. The lack of sunshade around the playspace makes it difficult to visit during the day. The tidal pool has needed to be fixed ao many times and juat doesn’t work, not to mention it creates trip hazards in the sand. The space had a wealth of potential but has missed the mark on so many levels. It doesn’t provide families with enough engagement for more the size and location. The lack of separate spaces for the community to engage drives most to the far side. The fitness options are great but would have been much better on the other side of the road, along the path where people run. It should draw people to the area…...

This is one of the most stunning parks in Gosford, and it's all thanks to the fact that it's designed to be a reflection of nature. The park integrates elements of water and land, creating a truly unique experience that never fails to impress.

When the tide is high, it's a truly spectacular sight to see: the water element comes alive! Also during some evenings, with its beautiful lighting and design, this park never fails to impress.

The kids can't get enough of it and we can't help but share our love for this amazing playground with everyone we meet. We feel lucky to have this right at...
