I just experienced the rudest customer service and I am appalled by the service in which was given out to my friends and I. Whilst we were ordering our food at drive thru the mic kept cutting out and then all of a sudden the volume went really high and scared us so we laughed then all of a sudden the manger got on the speaker and tried using threatening tactics to all of us which we are all a lot younger then her. Once the manger decided we were allowed to order we drove around to the window and apologised to the girl at the window and explained to her our point of view. She simply brushed it off which we understood paid for our Oder and went to the next window then tried apologise to the manger but she told us to go to waiting pay making us wait for a long period of time. When she came out we once again tried to apologise to her and express our point of view to her but her response was quite defensive and did not want to hear it. She continuously interrupted us in a highly rude matter even though we remained very calm. She then completely stopped listing to us apologise and said to us “well it’s over now isn’t it” and that’s when she used mocking tactics with the words she was saying and raising her hands around in the air. This overall experience left my friends and I very upset and quite frankly speechless by the level of disrespect and rudeness even when we tried to apologise and express our point of...
Read moreI give McDonald’s Umina 2 stars for the car park. It is an unobjectionable car park, with easy street access, and a number of clearly marked and adequately sized parking spaces. As family restaurant car parks go, this car park is at least on par with, and in some respects exceeds, others I have seen.
I give the restaurant itself 1 star, mainly because it seems quite well constructed and did have food, which are the two basic qualities of a restaurant. If you are desperate, or have given up on life, McDonald’s Umina will provide something in the way of nourishment and shelter from the elements.
I’ve never been in such a poorly managed McDonald’s in my life though. It’s as if the staff have been told that the restaurant’s closing permanently at the end of the week and they’ve all just given up caring. No toilet paper in the toilets. No ketchup sachets. Broken equipment. Grubby tables. Burgers apparently assembled by one employee holding the box open and another flinging things in from a distance. And floppy chips. I HATE floppy chips.
In fact f* it, I’m taking that star back. That leaves a solid two stars for the car park - which, happily, is large enough to enable U turn and...
Read moreIt took a while, McDonald's Umina, but you finally broke me.
It's not enough that your staff consistently get orders wrong (I've lost count of how many times a double big mac has magically turned into a cold single mac), or that the burgers through drive-through are almost always cold, or that custom burgers seem to be replaced with regular burgers (no pickles really does mean NO PICKLES), but this time, the girl at the window poured a full large coke zero all over me and my car electrics after which I was told "don't worry I'll get you a new one"
Next morning we were told they'd reviewed camera footage and it was all my fault (I guess I'll have to take their word for it?)
Consistently terrible, disinterested service, impressive lack of attention to detail, a filthy store, and poor responsiveness to complaints have finally broken me.
I will never, ever again make a purchase at McDonald's Umina. I'm done. Considering we have a young child and live in the area, I wonder how many thousands of dollars that is that will never be spent at this franchise?
I guess you win McDonald's Umina,...
