This place deserves a 10/10 for both the food and customer service! The food at Pinto Thai Tweed Heads was magnificent, I ordered the som tum e-san and many other dishes throughout the days that I visited and they all tasted so amazing. My partner and mum ate many other dishes as well and all the food were authentic Thai and tasted fantastic. The staffs were so friendly and is definitely a representation of the beauty of Thai culture. As a Thai person, the food exceeded my expectations and I cannot recommend this place enough. I went for lunch today thinking you can’t go wrong with Pad Thai, I was encouraged by staff to order the lunch special . What I received was a sloppy mess that in no way resembled pad Thai other than the rice noodles used. The chicken was chewy and normally you have the crunch of bean sprouts , crushed peanuts , spring onions etc. this was a brown sloppy mess that had zero flavour and I found un eatable. Two mouth fulls and left it there is disgust . All I got was I’m sorry and was it too spicy . I may be a Caucasian Aussie but I’ve traveled , can cook and love good food. Have ordered from this restaurant lots of times and have loved everything. After spending over $100 tonight on 1entree, 2 x chicken sate sticks, 2 dishes and a coconut rice was not impressed. Overpriced, half of the food was cold, new eco friendly containers with half of the serving that you used to receive and the flavour was just ok. Will be looking for alternatives for our Thai takeaway or cook my own versions of the food from now on. Such a shame as we loved this...
