We came up from Hunter Valley for Smith Street Band for my boyfriend’s birthday. We thought we would check out the bistro recommended by the lovely courtesy bus driver - however it was such a waste of money. Cheese burger spring rolls - a failed attempt and very basic, if you are going to copy a dish make it amazing and better? The Prawn Taco was basically salad - I thought the prawn to salad ratio was a joke. If possible I would’ve preferred to have one taco and all three prawns on it. There was a strong petrol taste to it which also put me off. Lamb cutlets were basic. The servers cleared the plate below in the photo without asking for any feedback. After not eating my meal, I went to get a bruschetta and wasted another $14 to bite a piece of stale bread with no flavour. Better off driving to Beachcomber Hotel or Dunes by Dish, will not be back.

Well run club with fresh and tasty pub style meals. It would be better if they offered some local independent craft beers on tap. Staff helpful. Plenty of parking.

I ordered the butter chicken, which was a very reasonable price of $22. Ordered it and within 15 minutes, it was already at my table, steaming hot. The pappadaum and naan bread were amazing created, and complemented the chicken and sauce very well. The chicken was tender and delicious, but would've like a larger portion size of chicken. The sauce was delicious and light, not too overpowering. It was also quite spicy, but still controlled enough that you were able to taste the flavour of the sauce. The rice was the tiniest bit overcooked, but all mixed together, was barely noticeable. The staff were lovely and friendly. My parents ordered pizza from their wood-fired oven, and had no complaints. The only complaint about the night were lots of kids running around, on a Tuesday night when we expected it to be quiet. We didn't mind them running around, but screaming because they won chocolate from a machine 5 metres from our table and parents no-where in sight did try and put a dampener on our night, but we moved to the sports section, and had a lovely night watching the tennis on a huge screen and having a chat. Obviously not the fault of the staff, but possibly just poor positioning of having a chocolate machine for kids physically inside the restaurant. Overall, extremely reasonable prices, with a wide genre of food for everyone, a pleasant atmosphere, great drinks, plenty of spots to hide away, have a chat and watch the sport and great food! Would love to go again when...

Bistro Attended the bistro 30th Sep this year with 7family members ,could not fault the food or service . Myself and wife both had steak cooked perfectly,I asked could I swap mash for baked potatoes, not a problem at all ,all family is were very happy with the meals . Attended the bistro last night 5 Dec this year with my family celebrating a double birthday same 7 members. Wow what a difference not good Daughter ordered Fettachine with chicken looked ok no chicken ,took it back ,don’t know if they just put chicken through it or made it fresh ? My son had the same he had chicken but both meals tasted bland ,daughter couldn’t eat it. Son in law had chick Parma the crumb was yellow in places as if soaked in oil .Wife had steak med rare was over cooked and a bit tough ,she took a third home to the dogs . I had bangers and mash, I asked if could swap mash for baked potatoes as I had previously done, answer was no you can only have mash or chips ,I said they have done it before for me,no only mash or chips, really it is all potato. 5out of the 7 are members. We noticed it was a completely different chef and staff. We were all not impressed at all compared to our previous meal . Not sure weather to eat...

Disgraceful. We had one beautiful staff member check in (Ivy?) and one lovely man at the pizza area (Stuart) but other than that, I would give zero stars.

My pumpkin and feta salad was almost all green leaves (baby spinach and rocket), with barely any substance. My husband had the Mongolian beef which was absolutely saturated in sauce and had no real substance. We ordered (and paid for!) extra veggies, only to find 3 bits of broccoli and the rest was extra extra red capsicum.

Both these meals were unacceptable, expensive and relatively tasteless.

If you're here, get a drink and a takeaway from the shops at Bay Village because you'll get better value, better taste and (mostly) better service.

0/10 with the exception of the guy at the pizza place and the lovely woman who checked in to see if the meals were ok.

Avoid. 0/10 do not recommend.

the photo of just the leaves shows how much green was included, and how little actual substance it contained. Absolutely...
