Zarraffa’s Coffee is an Australian owned and operated chain coffee shop with over 70 stores across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. As I am lucky enough to have one of these in the town of Coffs Harbour on the mid-north coast in which I live, I have decided to start visiting it frequently.
The interior of Zarraffas is very cosy and comfortable, with a painting of giraffes on one wall. It has several comfortable bench seats and an overall nice aesthetic. The service is exceptional too; I have gone there many times and they have never gotten my order wrong, even in the drive-thru! Their coffee tastes great and they even sell many different kinds of beans and syrups that they use themselves. Food and hot drinks are always hot, but not so hot they'll burn you, and the wait in the drive-thru is never too long, despite its popularity. Surprisingly, most times I have dined in it was quite quiet. Favourite seats guaranteed!
They have an amazing variety of hot and cold drinks, one of which includes the Creme Choc Mint Fusion, which I had on my most recent visit. If you are looking for a refreshing, sweet (not too sweet!) drink for a hot summer day, this is the one for you! It consists of ‘Chocolate fudge and peppermint syrup blended with ice cream, milk and crushed ice, topped with cream and a sprinkling of chocolate flakes’, as their website describes. Its consistency was perfect as well as tasting great, and the chocolate flakes added a little crunch.
As for the food, Zarraffa’s also has a great lunch and snack menu. My overall favourite would have to be the Chicken Cheese Avo Ciabatta. The flawlessly tender chicken pieces with perfectly ripe smashed avo gives it an irresistible balanced texture, and the melted cheese adds that extra bit of flavour every good comfort food needs. The bread is always crisp and is toasted to perfection every single time, never burned! If you are looking for a well priced place to have lunch or a drink, I would suggest Zarraffa’s Coffee. Go quick, as there's no doubt it will become even more popular in...
Read more1130 March 11 - don’t know what’s happened to Coffs Z, standard has dropped. Didnt like being upsold to bigger size/double shots. First time ever ‘sitting in’ served ‘latte in paper cup’. It was awful, milk watery, came as flat white. Took it back asked for refund, offered replacement but the guy should have got it right first up. The guy on the coffee machine couldn’t differentiate between flat white and latte, was rushing like crazy to put out coffee to driveby customer and there was no one else inside to be served - really needs to slow down be retrained to provide quality. And didn’t appreciate receiving muffin in paper bag, had to ask for a plate with cutlery. Is it too much work to be washing up? And the Indian guy who served me needs to slow down as talking at a 100 miles an hour couldnt understand a word. Overall today’s experience was negative from beginning to end. Six months ago the staff were amazing, at this rate cannot see this place surviving with such strong...
Read moreFamily and I visited tonight. Never heard of zarrafas before as we are on holidays, drove past and saw it was one of the only places open so decided to give it try. Very busy for inside for Thursday and minimal staff on, but they did an amazing job. They had time to assist us with the menu, as well as answering our many questions. Food, coffee, environment, music and service is like nothing I've experienced in Coffs hbr, The women working tonight were lovely and working so diligently. They had our order ready in no time and made everything to our specific requirements and requests. I will certainly be visiting Coffs hbr again just...
