Dark Horse Wickham — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

I like good coffee but not enough to put up with this kind of service. I waited for over 10 minutes for my take-away coffee to be made, when there was no one else waiting and no other coffees to be made. The staff member on the machine spent the first 10 minutes discussing a photo she wanted to put on Instagram, rather than making my coffee. The other staff member eventually made the shot of coffee but by the time the barista got around to making the milk, it had gone cold. This is the second experience I've had like this. Last time they completely forgot my coffee.

Shocking service - left with money back and they seemed not to care. I sat down as the only one in the bar, waiting for my simple avo on toast. Waiting patiently I watched one girl made the boss lunch while the boss told a story about how some other girl is super bitchy. Some one else came in and they served him, made his lunch then both sat down to eat theirs. Here is me, sitting without mine as one of the only people giving them custom. When I enquired as the the whereabouts of my toast all I got was a weak 'sorry'. One got upt to get the avo then I was told it wasn't ripe. She handed me my money back and went back to her lunch. We pulled into Dark Horse for a bite to a eat and coffee on our way through and the service and food were unreal, so much so I'm here to leave a review with the others that have also had the same great experience.
