it was THE worst experience dining here which was our first time visiting. I called them half an hour earlier asking if they sell nepalese style pani puri. They said yes then my 3 friends and I went to the restaurant and the waitress came exactly 25 mins later after being called twice and said that they cant make pani puri cause it is busy. And it was busy so we changed into some other entree which again they couldn't make and told us that they can only make samosa for entree which we didnt want. Then we ordered 3 chicken and 1 veggie momo sadly and some drinks. Another 20 mins later, after asking for our drinks we got it just some cold drinks. Then, more than AN HOUR later, a guy brought our food and told us that there was a bad news and cannot make my veggie momos which I waited more than an hour for after being refused any entree and having called beforehand. It was ridiculous. On top of not being able to serve our order, they did not offer any credit, some other food or even a sorry. I was furious but stayed calm cause I didn't wanna create any more trouble to them. Lastly, yes we were nice people so we didnt say anything and I returned home hungry without eating anything after nearly 1.5 hr but I hope this does not happen for any other customer ever and the restaurant can learn to put more people on duty if it is supposed to be busy instead of not giving their food after such a long time cause the chef is too busy as it was not my...
Read moreThis is probably going to be the first and last time we would be eating from this restaurant. We had a takeout last monday and the food was actually very pathetic! We ordered very common food like momo, chowmin, biryani, choila and sekuwa, and couldnot believe how a nepalese restaurant go wrong with the basic flavours of these dishes! The veg momo!! I would not expect veg momo to be great, but never have i eaten such bad veg momo ever in my life. The pork jhol momo was very okayish, but the jhol was very average only. And chowmin! The quantity was very less, and tastewise it was 1/5 . It had too much soy and vingegar, making it bitter and sour at the same time, dint have any good smoky flavour which stir fried chowmin has. It was just dunked in the pan with some sauce, that too, without flavour, n not properly stir fried. The buff chowmin had very rubbery buff pieces, I dnt know why they even hother selling it. Sekuwa and choila were not that good too. And finally the biryani! It felt like a clickbait. Dont call it biryani if it is just average fried rice with below average flavour guys! My review seems very cruel, but believe me, after a long day when you actually wanted to eat some good nepalese food and you get this below average food, I wouldn't want to do it any other way. What a waste of our money and mood that evening! Please Durbar...
Read moreWe had decided to have indian food when this popped up on our google maps. We were excited to have nepalese khana thali set so we called the restaurant to check if booking is required/ seat is available. They informed walk-in is fine so we reached within 20 mins. They had an event going on which was very loud and we didnât want to eat in that environment, so we talked to them and decided to come back. We went there after the event was over but it was meal time and there were lots of people and very loud still. We ordered khana set. It was a bit expensive but if the taste and service is good, price is not a problem. The waiting time was very long. And when we started eating we wanted to order more, but no servers in sight. They didnât even bring water for us and didnât come to check on us. After one of us was done, we called them on their phone to attend our table. Also they seated us in the corner where nobody would pass. And we got extra rice and paid 5$ for that. They were apologetic but as their price is high, you would expect good customer service. It was very unorganised. Food was okay but the service not good at all. We live in Sydney and have never paid that much for a khana set and definitely not for...
