Lotus Corner — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Great lunch... As we hadn't been to Lotus for a while, we decided drop in and have some lunch. Lotus is located on a popular corner of the cosmopolitan Junction strip. We normally sit on the outside covered area watching the world go by... but this happen'd to be a very hot day so we sat inside enjoying the cool of the air conditioning. The Cafe was surprisingly spacious with an open plan kitchen, the bonus being that the tables were not jammed in together. The whole place presented a great atmosphere, It also looked very clean and inviting. The menu was very good in its choice of food, something for everyone.... I decided i was going to try the charred marinated wagyu beef burger, well i guess it proved very popular because we all ordered the same dish. It was absolutely scrumptious !! Super friendly staff. 10+/10 for staff knowledge ease service and promptness! I needed coffee stat but can’t drink it without a sweet…our waitress stepped to the kitchen quickly and I had turkish toast with a side of pb 5 seconds after my coffee arrived! As well I was looking for breakfast my husband lunch and the brought both menus with out a hesitation!! Truly fulfilled every request (we can & were very particular 😅) Highly recommend for DELICIOUS banana pancakes!! Sorry about the picture I couldn’t believe how good it was! My review was going to be based on the amazing service but then I dug into these and had to add a shoutout! Checked out Lotus Espresso for the first time today and it's our new fave. Have been looking for and tried various Nourish/Earth breakfast bowls in Newcastle and Lotus Espresso has the best.

It was busy when we arrived but at least 4 people asked us if we had been looked after and the answer was yes. Got a table within 5 minutes and over all, the service was great.

Lastly, a lot of cafes seem to struggle making soy based coffees where they serve you with a thick layer of sludge, the coffee (soy cap) here was perfect.
