Played wall-ball here and had bit of fun. Played on the park after and wasn’t bad, extremely windy due to being right next to the beach in the arvo so recommend going in the early day/ morning. Good park to have a kick at. Would recommend/ ask the council to install nets above the wall as the ball does commonly get hit over the wall which does get irritating. Good...

Great site for afternoon get together. Have the beach on one side (swim at Cooks Hill Surf Club) and a skate bowl, and racquet ball court, and open space for cricket, as well as decent kids playground area. Add to this a Bowling Club next door and a Tennis Club opposite and you have ample entertainment options. Don't forget yoga and bootcamps...

Empire park is a park by the sea. Beside the usual rugby/cricket field there is a skateboard and a childs play area. Newcastle South bowlo is located on the southern edges of the park. Great place for a cold beer/food or a game of bowls. Bar Beach is right across the road from the park. Parking can be difficult especially...
