Empire Park — Attraction in Newcastle-Maitland

Played wall-ball here and had bit of fun. Played on the park after and wasn’t bad, extremely windy due to being right next to the beach in the arvo so recommend going in the early day/ morning. Great site for afternoon get together. Have the beach on one side (swim at Cooks Hill Surf Club) and a skate bowl, and racquet ball court, and open space for cricket, as well as decent kids playground area. Empire park is a park by the sea. Beside the usual rugby/cricket field there is a skateboard and a childs play area. Newcastle South bowlo is located on the southern edges of the park.
