My young son loves the chips & Kebabs here so when finished work in town i rang him and told him i would take him there to get his favourite kebab from there and on the way there from home its a 30min travel he was telling his sister how good there chips & kebabs are so she thought she would join us for kebabs & chips WELL WHAT A JOKE IT WAS after waiting 30 minutes for our chips & kebabs we decided we would sit in the service station car park & eat our chips & kebabs there while they where nice & hot! WELL SOMWE THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE HOT!! NOPE NOT AT ALL KEBABS DEAD COLD GROSS MEAT ON THE LAMB KEBAB well i suppose lucky the chips where HOT thats all 3 of the kebabs where stone cold all i could taste was the salad & over the top amount of Garlic and sour cream on there its not like we traveled another 30 minutes home to eat Our meals we only walked to the servo car park almost next door so as usual there chips where great and thats what i drove half an hour for a box of chips f$&k that never again and they must get there friends to do the reviews because my Labrador wouldn’t even eat that if i put it in front of him NO NO NO NO never again will i make the mistake of travelling all the way there again or make the mistake of telling anyone how great there kebabs are. Next time I’ll travel an extra 10 minutes to Hamilton and get a real kebab and don’t keep telling everybody it’s because you say you’re busy. The kebab shop at Hamilton is always flat out with people hanging out the doors and they can still make an hot hamburger or a nice kebab it’s just an excuse and stop getting your friends to write. Reviews. Might be a good start and get some decent food coming out of there again but used to be good food. No excuse you can reply with or make up for having dry, horrible cold lamb. Try yourself cold it’s disgusting on a kebab it’s supposed to be hot for the price that you paid like top dollar it expected to be a nice kebab. At least you make good chips I suppose at least they were hot! And I just looked at my bank account $81 for three kebabs and small chips. Oh my god that’s highway robbery never again NEVER NEVER NEVER!!!!!
Don’t even waste you’re time going there Go to The Cappadocia in Beaumont Street, Hamilton, at least to walk away there with a nice meal at a much more realistic Price And it...
Read moreWhile people pine for different things from this place that serves exceptionally fresh cooked food with care that covers a few bases with fresh greek salads, great fresh cut chips and 'chip shop offerings' with exceptionally great salads, sauces and sides and family operation of a 'traditionally owned family business / chippy'.
Their Garlic / Thoom sauce is legit and will smack flavour into your face in all the ways you need when applied correctly, since they make their own or have a excellent connection for legit garlic sauce / Thoom.
One thing stands head and shoulders above the rest for me, is their charcoal chicken... pretty high on the lists of things you want in your life.
Juicy, perfectly seasoned and so tasty that even 'soggy chips' with delicious chicken drippings and also chewing all the meat of the bones, since everything the chicken touches turns to liquid gold.
I've sampled their charcoal chicken now plenty of times along with other offerings but for me, it's all about 'dat chicken' since it's spiced, tasty, juicy and something you have to try. Chips and HSP / kebabs and chip shop fare is the other feature players.
Parking can be a challenge but the wait is worth the queue and the juice worth the squeeze.
One whole BBQ charcoal chicken with chips fed two hungry blokes with leftovers, not the cheapest but it's for a reason.
There isn't photos because we devoured the food upon getting to a place where we could eat, they have a queue up for a reason and Thursday night wasn't any different.
Give them a try and again, I highly recommend the charcoal...
