Zaaki Espresso — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

My girlfriend brought me here as a surprise on a Saturday, as she comes here all the time. This is a nice and cosy little café with beautiful warm decor that feels inviting. I love the lights here too, with those awesome looking incandescent bulbs I'm seeing more of. I didn't try the food, but the coffee was great. Full flavoured in either a long black or a latte. The food was average and the wait time was way too much. We were a table of 7 all of us had one dish each and took an over all off an hour before we got our food. Every one turned quiet impatient as we kept waiting and had a long journey ahead of us for the day. The sound ought was really hard. It was crispier than the chips that we had. The toasters were good. The staff had to be asked twice before they started making food for us. Def not a place to go if you have other things...

I moved to Mayfield nearly 10 years ago and found this great little cafe not far from where I live. The family that runs this cafe are so friendly and welcoming it’s not funny. They love to share the time with you and have a chat and the staff that also work there are excellent.
