I am very disappointed in the service that I received at the coffee emporium. The first time I went there, my boyfriend made a quick remark to the manager and was saying that $4 is a bit pricey for one hash brown (he likes to give feedback and make conversation), the manager started to get really rude and tell us if we wanted cheap hash browns then go to McDonaldâs. After that, I got my food and the manager came to our table and started to brag to us that he has to pay $4000 in rent and that he pays $2 per hasbrown and that it was a good deal and would not let me eat In peace, I left really disappointed. The second time I went there was with my family, this time enough was enough. I received a Vienna from the manager and it was basically a cup of cream with no coffee in it, I am pregnant and no one was coming to serve me, so I went over there kindly and said that I didnât want a cup of cream and that I wanted a Vienna, the guy looked at me and said âthat is what a Vienna is, if you donât know what it is then donât order itâ I was really embarrassed and upset and I told my mum, and my mum confronted him herself, he gave us a refund and we were happy. Once we decided to leave, the guy gave me and my boyfriend a bad look, just for asking for less cream. This whole situation has been horrible and I am never going back again. I sat down (as I have a severe back problem) whilst my wife ordered for both of us. One of the assistants came over and with a very rude tone said "you can't eat those here, we sell chips (which I didn't know, but I didn't know we would be stopping for tea either). I pointed over to my wife saying she was placing an order, I was told I still couldn't have my chips there anyway. So I told her we would go elsewhere. Unfortunately, my wife had already paid, so I told them to refund. It's not as though they were busy with customers either, only one other couple. Staff was lovely but one person was working the register and making the coffee, and seeing as you pay such a large "weekend surcharge" one extra junior staff member wouldn't hurt. Ordered two meals at average of $25 each and the meal portions was so small, 2 mini waffles and a quarter banana with a scoop of ice cream doesn't warrant a $26 price tag. Chicken melt was 2 thin slices of tomato and 1/4 cup of chicken on one piece of bread. The taste was average, pretty disappointing from what I hoped since iv wanted to come...
