This is a tough one as the food and table service were top notch

However we did arrive for our 2pm booking and the last meal arrived an hour and a half later, the waiter did tell us they would take care of us and while waiting we did order several drinks we would not have otherwise while waiting.

When it came time to pay the bill the cashier said they would cover our entrees which sounded fine, however we had several people order entrees and asked to come as their main in an attempt to speed things up and they were omitted from the 'discount'. The cashier was argumentative and dismissive, most of our party just wanted to leave at this point, paid up and departed.

When leaving we assume it was the manager approached us, seemingly looking for an argument. We werent even looking for a discount at this point however he offered a series of excuses that made little sense.

He said he shouldnt have accepted our booking anyway (news to us, we booked weeks prior)

There was an acciedent on the expressway (ok, it would have helped to be notified of this potential issue upon arrival)

And the offer of entrees being discounted couldnt have possibly been made, it was only when we engaged and said lets settle this by talking to the cashier did we find out those entrees were put thru as mains and were not covered. We did point out those items were specifically from the entree section of the menu (how were we to know?)

We dined here for a birthday gathering on the weekend. We had a booking for 2pm and we’re all seated at 2 pm. Our final main was served at 3:45. Despite assurances that they would “look after us” due to the incredibly long wait for food, we were most certainly not “looked after”. We were offered free entrees by the man taking payment when we raised that we had been offered some discount by wait staff. We were comped 3 garlic breads and one plate of 3 scallops. On a bill of over $700. Entrees that were requested to be brought out with mains (to avoid delaying meals for others) were of course not included in this “discount”. We had at least an additional 2 rounds of drinks whilst awaiting food. When raised with who were told was the manager he was dismissive, rude, and at conclusion of the discussion resorted to outright mockery. We had a Garlic Bread, King George Whiting and a Steak for lunch.

The garlic bread was fairly standard fare - bread was toasted nicely with crispy edges, and the butter and garlic wasn't over the top.

I'm used to most places under-cooking steaks, so I asked for medium rather than medium-rare, and would you know it, they cooked it absolutely perfectly for medium, so will ask for medium-rare next time.

The meat was succulent and juicy with minimal fat. The jus was amazing and added so much to the flavour. The potatoes and vegetables that came with it were perfectly cooked - soft with a small amount of external texture. I seriously wanted to tip the plate into my mouth to drink the left over jus, but I just couldn't in polite company.

The whiting my partner had was tasty, and the chips that came with it were crunchy outside and fleshy on the inside.

The coffee we had was great too.

The service from the friendly staff was excellent.
